We stopped by this mom and pop family diner after a business meeting on a weekday morning. Not many people there. The waitress was nice and the place was clean but the decor was very dated. Food took a little while but everything was tasty. It was nice to step back in time but we’re used to a more modern place.

Two stars because the waitress I spoke to on the phone that took my order was very nice. Otherwise, I would have gave one star. Ordered two bullseye sandwiches with fries. The sandwiches were ok, there was a lot of bbq sauce on them which the menu doesn’t mention. I like bbq sauce, but it’s weird to have on the type of sandwich that it is. A ribeye/pepper/onion/swiss cheese sandwich should be good without needing a sauce to mask flavors. But, that’s not why I’m here typing this. It was the fries that really upset me, because they were mushy and soaked in grease. You could squeeze the grease from them. They must have dropped them in oil that was not hot enough so instead of getting crispy, they just soaked up the grease. We couldn’t eat them at all, which sucks because we paid extra for the combo’s. I know whoever cooked those fries could see that they were soaked in grease, but they did not care and sent them out anyways. It’s just disappointing when you spend $36 on food that you can’t eat. We joked we could have gotten crispy fries at the McDonald’s down the road.

We went for the fish, it’s close to home. We both got the cod dinner and the fish was way over cooked. The fries would be so much better if they were fried in a different fryer than the fish was fried in. Definitely won’t be back. Way too many other choices in the area.

Hi! I’m the server. Just to be clear, you came into our restaurant on a Sunday during Church lunch rush, proceeded to just seat yourself at a table that still had the previous customers dishes on it (they had just left by the way)
And you’re mad that somebody didn’t get right to you? You were not there for 15 minutes. It was probably 7 at MOST. With that being said, we have several tables that we are trying to tend to, Just because you sit yourself at a dirty table doesn’t mean we’re going to stop what we’re doing with our other tables and prioritize you. We work on a rotation system. Which means that the ones that came in before you, are the ones that get waited on before you. You don’t get to jump line. That’s not fair to our other customers that have been there waiting. I am definitely not a rude person, But I do know that I don’t know many dining establishments that allow outside drinks to be brought in. The reason for this, is because regardless of what your cup says, I can’t guarantee what’s in there. It’s a safety thing. We are one of those that do not. I will not break the rules of my job over a $7 coffee from Starbucks.

Cozy small town diner with super friendly staff. The kind of place hometowns are built around. A bit off of the beaten path, but well worth the drive. Lots of local customers.
Busy, but very clean. Food came out very fast. Very tasty and a very good value for cost.( I would drive out of my way for the John Wayne burger.) 10/10. Very well done!!!!!

I order all you can eat fish the fish was way over cooked. They didn’t have tartar sauce had to wait for them to make some after we got our fish. She brought out my coleslaw after I was half done eating my fish. Never asked for refills on pop. I won’t be back for a very long time
