What Makes Zucca Special:
The Atmosphere: The interior design is impeccable. The high ceilings, warm lighting, and iconic vertical garden create an ambiance that is both luxurious and inviting. It’s the ideal spot for both a romantic dinner and a high-level business lunch.
The Cuisine: The execution of the dishes is masterful. I highly recommend the Zucchini Blossoms (Fiori di Zucca) stuffed with goat cheese; they are light, crispy, and an explosion of flavor. The handmade pasta dishes, especially the agnolotti del plin, have that perfect texture only found in authentic Italian cuisine.
The Wine Cellar: Their wine selection is impressive. The sommelier is always happy to guide you to the perfect pairing, with a list that highlights the best of Italy’s wine regions.
The Service: Attentive, professional, and knowledgeable. At Zucca, they don’t just serve you food; they provide an experience where you feel cared for in every detail.
Final Verdict: It’s not just dinner; it’s a great restaurant, Coral Gables has many restaurants, but few manage to maintain the standard of excellence that Zucca offers with every visit.
We began with the fried zucchini flowers stuffed with goat cheese, perfectly crisp and finished with truffle honey—simple, elegant, and absolutely delicious. The black beluga lentil salad with roasted baby beets, hazelnuts, and feta was beautifully balanced and full of flavor.
For the mains, I ordered the ribeye special, and it was cooked exactly right—tender, flavorful, and memorable. The bucatini cacio e pepe was rich and comforting, while the gnocchi and lasagna truly tasted homemade in the best possible way.
Dessert sealed the experience. The cheesecake was excellent, but the chocolate cake roll filled with caramel and pistachio ice cream was my favorite—decadent and perfectly executed.
What truly elevated the night was the service. Ernesto took incredible care of us and made the entire experience feel effortless. Every plate arrived promptly, and everything flowed seamlessly.
Zucca continues to be a place I genuinely enjoy returning to, and I already look forward to my next visit.
Our waiter, Eric was exceptional—attentive, thoughtful, and made the night special.
I ordered the Tagliatelle mushroom. It was delicious.
Elegant restaurant, perfect for an elegant dinners. We Definitely plan to return; ask for Eric for a reliable, standout experience.
Food 5/5
Ambiance 4/5
Service 5/5
It wasn’t too busy when we arrived and I was able to park right across the street in front of the restaurant. It was just a few dollars to park on the street. There’s also a parking garage across the street.
The restaurant is still beautiful and beautifully decorated. The ambiance is very relaxing. We were sat next to their huge walk-in wine cooler.
Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. He had several other people helping him out. There was always someone ready to take our plates, or refill our drinks.
I ordered the Ruby Rosé Spritz. It was delicious and very refreshing. My friend ordered an iced tea. She didn’t like it. So she also ordered a Spritz.
For appetizers we both ordered the burrata salad. It was delicious. Very unique with sweet peaches, crunchy cabbage, and a elderflower dressing.
For our main entree we both ordered the red snapper. I loved mine and ate every bite! My friend said hers was a little fatty and tough, so she didn’t really like hers so much. It came with a little grape tomato salad on the side. I actually liked the salad more than the fish. It was really tasty!
For our desserts I ordered the Pecorino cheese with honey. My friend ordered the passion fruit cheesecake. The passion fruit cheesecake was delicious! It’s too bad we were so full from the rest of our meal. The cheesecake was light, fluffy and not too sweet. The passion fruit syrup around it was the perfect tartness and sweetness. It had a few crunchy seeds in the syrup that added a pleasant touch. Definitely one of the best desserts I’ve ever had.
Altogether our lunches were about $60-$65 each which included a 20%.
I’d definitely return. It’s a great place for couples. Very romantic. I’m glad they have the Miami Spice deal because it really encourages me to get out and try new places, or places I haven’t been to in a long while.
