When Zoup! opened I remember thinking it seemed so fresh and hip. The style has not aged particularly gracefully.
And now with Panera having moved to basically right outside, I’m sure Zoup! is struggling a bit more.
But that’s a shame – the food is actually pretty good at a reasonable price. It was a rainy day and we decided to pop in. We got three soups with bread and a drink for like just over $20.
They claim the soup is made fresh every day, implying it’s in-house. I don’t know how true that is, but they do taste pretty good, and there is quite a variety.
The staff didn’t seem to be super engaged, but they were quick and friendly enough. The interior looks super dated. But it’s honestly still a really strong place to grab a warm meal on a cold day.

Solid soup! Tried a few different kinds everything seemed pretty yummy. Prices are a little steep for soup… but what isn’t these days. Still rather give my money to small business then the Panera across the lot

The food at Zoup is always delicious. I love the turkey bacon sandwich and chicken pot pie soup.
I have been coming here for years and the service has always been fine. But the last few times I have visited, one staff member in particular has been rude. She looks entirely uninterested in her job and has a very bad attitude. She replies in a very snarky way and gives dirty looks.
This makes me really sad because I love the food, and her poor service makes me not want to come back.

Never heard of this place before. We were walking past this to go to a nearby store. Middle of winter what a better choice than warm soup?
I tried the Chicken Toscana sandwich and the cajon gumbo. Both very delicious. Our meals also included a piece of baguette bread.
Would definitely come here again soon and try another meal combo.

It was my first time in and Anthony was very polite greeting us upon entry, helpful with letting us sample flavors, made great suggestions, quick with service and even cut the sandwich in threemaking it easier for her to eat. We will definitely be returning. I appreciate the great customer service.

Always forget about this location. It’s hidden in the Plaza. Smaller store and not very busy. Floors were sticky and carpet had spots of spilled stuff. Not the cleanest. The bread bowls were good and potato soup was yummy.

Excellent Restaurnt visit today. Greeting at the door as we walked in . Very busy fast and efficient. Awesome staff very friendly customer service. The manager brought our food to the table and thanked us for waiting. Very clean and well organized restaurant in the Mentor Ohio area.

My husband and I each got a pick 2 combo with soup and a half sandwich. We both opted to size up to the cup of soup. It was $14 per person. I got the broccoli cheddar soup and it was absolutely inedible. It was nearly brown in color, had no visible broccoli pieces, and tasted burnt. We had just gotten over intense stomach flu and thought soup would be the best option for a first meal. Couldn’t even eat it.
