We love the Zou Ji restaurant’s ambiance, cleanliness, price point, and portion. We ordered the short rib with bok choy soup, Yangzhou Fried rice, Scallion pancake, Beef dumplings, and Beef and Broccoli. We finally had a chance to dine in. Everything was amazing. Phil from Yelp, the Yangzhou Fried rice comes with everything as you see in the picture. Joe, wife, and staff are very friendly and informative.

A few weeks ago we were here for lunch and the food was great, so we decided to come today for dinner. Ordered the traditional Northern style dishes (Braises pork belly, dumplings and spare-rib soup). Let me put it this way: I won’t hesitate to come again and again, and to use this restaurant for entertainment of my guests. Highly recommend this establishment!

They offer Northeastern Chinese cuisine. Lamb & chicken dumpling were delicious, juicy and the portions were huge (10 dumplings each). Other dishes were very good as well and had lots of flavor. Yummmm. Plenty of parking in the parking lot, and the waiter / owner are nice. Will be back when I’m in this area!

Extremely good in its what I feel is probably more authentic food. The chilis are nice big chilis. I had the pork with pickled veg and glass noodles, it is delicious. The dumplings are also delicious. This isn’t typical American Chinese food so some may not like, but to me I find it much more delicious and inspired by actual Asian cuisine.

Very authentic Chinese food at a great price. The food is not too salty or oily, and the ingredients seem nice a fresh. They also have a nice sit down area and table service so this is a good place to get a sit down dinner if you so choose.

Early attempt at home style Northeast China cuisine. The concept is a good since Dongbei food is a distinct cuisine with different flavors & ingredients. It is hoped that ZouJi can improve to warrant a return visit.
Dumplings are home style – tasted/looked like they were made to order. Skins are a bit thick. the skins were much too coarse on the street-style beef pancakes. Very nice crisp pan fry tho.
Cold appetizers are more successful. The classic Dongbei shou pei is well seasoned, sauced with bright crisp carrots, cucumbers contrasting the chewy noodles. The portion is large, thus the steep price.
Coke chicken (wings) are beautifully sauced with moist meat. Unfortunately the meat is flavorless.
Service should be enhanced with training. I’m not looking for white glove services but when a table hasn’t been holding eating utensils for 10 consecutive minutes (we were 1 of 2 tables), please come over and ask if we want desert or if the leftovers are to be wrapped. I should not have to ask for containers & then ask for the check.
It was observed that other tables did not get place settings until chided and soup spoons were not brought when the soup was served.
Ambiance is pleasant. Parking is ample.
A word to non-Chinese reading/speaking patrons – this is not your standard take-out joint. Give it a chance, ask questions about menu & case offerings (especially since the contents are only offered in Chinese). Take a chance on one of the giant steamed buns or tea eggs alluringly displayed at the steam table.

A cut above the other Chinese places in the area. Prices are more than fair for the quality of the food. I’ve been back 3 times in a 2 week span because I keep wanting to try new “take out” classics but done with an authenticity that is new and exciting. Oh, and they deliver. Its like “take out” but not.

Food is okay but it’s terrible service from the manager. There was confusion about the order because the cashier couldn’t understand, they hand the phone to the manager who gives me an attitude about a simple question about the dishes and that I “should know better” than to ask questions from a person who doesn’t speak English (well you hired them to answer the phone?). After I picked up the order, and saw it was wrong, they give the phone to the manager again, who instead of being apologetic at all, tells me I can order again if I want the correct dish and pay for it. LOL. If you want to make it in the food industry, better learn customer service. Won’t be going back.

Decent food, however they messed up an order I placed on the phone which I should have known was not going to go well since there was a confusion while placing said order. The woman that answered the phone couldn’t understand what I was saying so she handed the phone to another employee who took the rest of the order. I picked up the order and drove home to find that they had given curry chicken instead of garlic chicken. My wife called them back to let them know that she would be coming back with the wrong order. They told her they didn’t understand what she was saying and to come speak to them in person. Once she arrived, she explained the situation and they went back and forth for a minute, the cashier got visible upset and raised her voice in front of our 3 year old son who was definitely uncomfortable with the situation. They told my wife next time we want garlic chicken to order garlic chicken and not curry which she pronounced both garlic and curry the exact same way. Wish there was a zero star option.
