ZO.RA FOOD AND WINE RESTAURANT, Lake Wylie, SC. 12/16/25, Since I wrote this review, I have been back many times, including last night and planning to go back tonight. They recently added rainbow trout and it is the finest trout I have eber eaten, as I had it my last 3 visits. If possible ask for Emma, but everyone gives wonderful service. Simply statedl, My Very Favorite Restaurant!!! Now my original review/Recently I made my first visit to ZO.RA (believe named after the owners 2 children) on the recommendations of close friends and I now have returned 5 more times. Zora’s food is simply exceptional, extremely well prepared and presented. There is a lot to be said about the saying that “You get what you pay for” and with ZO.RA you truly get a lot. The first night I was there, they were full and very busy. I noticed an attractive lady with 2 children outside at a table and as more customers came in, she immediately got up and walked in to the hostess stand and started greeting and seating their new customers. That was very impressive and I wondered who she was. and I found out that she and her husband own the restaurant. I would think that she just stopped by, since the 2 children were with her, but she did what great owners do and that is to take care of their customers. Lake Wylie is a beautiful area filled with great people, but it is not noted for having an abundance of fine restaurants, but there are 2 or 3 others that we all enjoy, but ZO.RA, as I described it to a friend who asked, is similar to some of Charlotte’s finest uptown restaurants. The staff is excellent, very friendly and the lady bartender is truly exceptional for on my 3 rd visit in a couple of weeks, she remembered exactly what we drank, so most impressive with all of the other customers that she serves. So yes, ZO.RA is an exceptional restaurant, as is their menu, presentations and staff and I am sure you will agree when you enjoy freshly prepared dishes made just for you !! ps: Picture is the finest Rainbow Trout that I have ever had and they have it on Special at times and I highly recommend it. Ordered it last night and also ate it 6 straight times, Delicious and superb !!!

This is a cute little joint with really great service! First time here, I got the shrimp and grits. Grits were fabulous, shrimp was good but had the tails on them (not a big deal), but the andouille sausage was minced and that made it more soupy than I’m used to and not my cup of tea. I didn’t realize when ordering that the andouille sausage was the cream sauce. I still ate it all, but not getting it again. My step mom got the salmon and she said it was cooked to perfection! The she crab soup was very good. It’s a shame there aren’t any vegan options, I cannot take my wife here. Wine selection was very nice. Great addition to Lake Wylie. I need to try other entrees to get a better feel. This is a great spot to relax after the day without kids or pets and grab a nice bite. For couples, for ladies night, for groups. That sort of thing.

Oh my goodness the food is so wonderful. We had a large family gathering late in the evening. We ordered a number of different small plates ahead of time and arranged to have them served in 3 courses. Everything was so delicious. The wait staff brought the food out as requested. They offered recommendations for our GF friend. The evening was a steady flow of good food and friends. Reeya helped us arrange everything and took care of us during our stay, even helping out with group pictures. We had cheese plate, hummus and spinach artichoke dip (my favorite). Then came an assortment of flatbreads. Last we had wings, ribs and mac and cheese (the best). Everyone left full and happy. Thanks Zora for a lovely evening.

We visited this restaurant on Valentine’s Day. The ambiance was charming, and we enjoyed the music played by an arp player. However, the food was not exceptional. The wait for our food was about 40 minutes, which was quite long. We had our baby with us, and he was doing well until he got tired. We had hoped to eat before he started to fuss, but unfortunately, that didn’t happen.
When our food finally arrived, we ate it so quickly that we didn’t bother other customers with our baby’s fussiness. If the food had arrived on time, I would have given them a 5-star rating.

Food was very well presented, and had a very good aroma. The menu selection was good with simple dishes that allowed for the chef to focus on preparing them well. The alcohol selection was wide and catering to everyone. The wines I had were decent but the food, while delicious, had small portions for the price and quality of the food. The atmosphere was very nice and the staff was professional when interacted with. However, in an upscale place like this they shouldn’t be chatting in the main area at the back, keeping work fun is important but with the atmosphere this business is trying to establish it would be better if that was done in the back room.

This little gem is the best wine bar addition that Lake Wylie desperately needed! Perfect for date night, girls night, or just a treat yo self kind of night. The inside is tastefully decorated with a nice modern bar. My husband and I enjoyed the Moroccan lamb chops and truffle Mac n cheese…both were absolutely delicious!!! (Foodie’s Paradise ) Can’t wait to come back and try the other menu items!
