this is the driest pad see ew i’ve ever had in my life the broccoli is by far the best part of the meal. the flavor isn’t bad, but that’s because there is hardly flavor at all. the tofu itself doesn’t taste like it was seasoned (though i do have to give it credit for a good texture). there is just enough sauce to lightly coat the noodles and doesn’t even extend to the tofu or broccoli. pad thai is my favorite thai dish across multiple restaurants, so i wouldn’t consider myself picky, but these noodles, especially at their price point, were disappointing to say the least.

Walking into Zoo Thai in Missoula felt like being serenaded by a pad Thai choir—flavors dancing so hard, I half-expected them to break into a chorus. And don’t worry, vegetarian friends: the veggie options here are so plentiful, you might think the menu is on a plant-powered mission.
The ambiance? Think “Southeast Asian spa meets Montana chill.” It’s cozy, welcoming, and somehow feels like your best friend’s living room—if your best friend played sitar and served coconut curry.
The food? Unbelievably good. I attempted a casual “just one bite” of my spring rolls and ended up questioning every life choice that led me away from Zoo Thai sooner. The veggie pad see ew? Let’s just say it has more charisma and flavor than my uncle at a karaoke night.
If you’re in the mood for a culinary party—especially if you’re vegetarian or just veggie-curious—Zoo Thai is your flavor safari. Warning: you may emerge refusing to ever eat sad desk lunch again.

Overall I would come back. The food was good and the portion sizes were pretty big! Four stars because the server was kind of rude and cold, and when I ordered a coke I got a can with no refills… I feel like you should tell people that before they order, especially if it’s $3. We sat outside so I didn’t catch a view of the inside but it looked cool from the window.

We saw our flight was delayed out of Missoula and were recommended Zoo Thai by some friends we were staying with and decided to check it out. This was on a Friday night after New Years so we went in expecting to not be able to be seated. Luckily there were two bar seats available. Ordered a plate of chicken pad thai to share, which was really good. The whole menu looked great, but given our time constraint we could not order a ton. Staff were all cool. Price was fair. It’s worth checking out.

I sat at the bar tonight. I haven’t had Thai food since college. And the recommendations I got from the bar tender were what I had for dinner. I started with the fried dumplings appetizer and they werent skimpy with the filling. I ordered both Thai teas one with regular milk and one with coconut milk and I liked both! I had a level 4 spicy pad Thai and it’s was delicious . Deff a place to eat at if your are craving Thai food.

We walked in on a Saturday around 4:40 pm for a quick nosh before going to a party. We chose to sit at the bar. Travis took very good care of us and explained the menu in detail. We didn’t order a meal, just appetizers, but what we had was amazing. The Egg rolls are actually spring rolls very full of veggies, and it seemed like pork as well. The home-made sweet and sour sauce was the bomb! The Satay Gai (chicken skewers) were cooked perfectly and the peanut sauce was also very yummy. The Moo Yang (grilled pork) was fabulous. The tamarind sauce is an acquired taste for sure, but it was very authentic. The dish was a pleasant surprise for us. We would have loved to go back and try the mains if we didn’t have to return to Ohio.

Met here last night with some friends that we hadn’t seen in a while to catch up. We ordered, and our food took about 40-50 Minutes to come out. They were pretty busy for a Saturday night so we understood.
After we got done eating, we sat and chatted for a little while longer & ordered more drinks. We did have to go up to the bar to order the drinks because the waitress did not come back to check on us for awhile. About five minutes after we got our drinks, One of the staff comes up to us and tells us that we need to finish our drinks and order more drinks, or leave because they had people waiting for our table. We were probably there altogether for an hour and a half. That includes the 40 minutes we waited for our food.
Since our bill was about $180, I would think they would let us sit there and visit and not just kick us out For visiting with friends/not ordering more drinks. I have been in the food industry/managing For 10 years, I have NEVER asked a table to leave for that reason. It was extremely rude and unprofessional, we will not be back.

This place was next to our hotel for our staycation and we were so pleasantly surprised by this exceptionally delightful and eclectic thai restaurant in the heart of Missoula. The atmosphere was warm, bright, welcoming. The staff was friendly and casual, very hospitable and helpful. We came right at 4:30 on Saturday which was ideal to get a table, this place can fill up fast. They have several items on the menu that can be made strictly either vegetarian or vegan and are clearly marked on their menu. Their pad thai being one of them. The spice level was perfect, the flavor was impeccable. My husband got a dinner special and loved it. The drinks were fun and vibrant as. The portion sizes were very generous, we had plenty of leftovers for a late night snack! We definitely found our new favorite

Tried a local spot in Missoula, Montana and was pleasantly surprised. I went with the green curry and rice. Absolutely delicious, packed with flavor, and served in generous portions. Really good Thai food! Great noodle dishes and good cocktails. The daily entree was tasty. A level 2 spice was the minimum they would do on my dish and it was perfectly spicy ️ One of the servers was a little grumpy, but it was close to closing time, so I’ll just assume he had a bad day. It was definitely a great Thai food experience!
