This is my second time coming here. The service was better than last time and we got different things from last time. The quesadilla was sitting in a pool of grease. The mac was old and dry. The Soul rolls were cooked to death and the drinks were trash. The fish and greens were decent. We were there for a birthday party so that is why it was so loud but the DJ was jammin.

If you are in or near Avondale Ohio looking for homemade, authentic cuisine then this is a must stop. The ambiance is very welcoming with upbeat music, large screen tv, entertainment, comedy, and more. Open space with plenty of seating inside and outdoor patio. There is a bar as well. There is something here for everyone from breakfast to dinner. The food is presented very professionally and large portions. Had the chicken wings and salad. very good!

I’ve been waiting for this place to open and today I finally got to indulge. Let’s just say this is the best bang for your buck on the soul food end of Cincinnati’s restaurants. They’ve only been open a month so they are still working thru a few things however my server had great energy and communication. Today I had Dales spiked lemonade and the island spicy chicken with Mac and cheese and greens. My food wasn’t very spicy and that’s how I like it so it was perfect and delicious! The restaurant was very clean and again the food was great. I will be back very soon!

Hate the seating area. It was dark. Not welcoming. A gentleman that works there told us that it was happy hour, happy hour option was on the kiosk menu, orders was placed, then a rude lady came from behind the counter and said happy hour was only on Friday, she took it off the kiosk menu, and didn’t honor the request for happy hour items. Upon entering and exiting, there’s a sign by the door that says happy hour starts at 6pm with no specific days stated. I won’t ever return to that establishment because of the way we were treated as first time customers

I had the pleasure of dining in this establishment today. It was a great experience, and the food was on point. The jerk wings, fresh cut fries, and mac & cheese hit the spot. The staff was very friendly and helpful when ordering.

Hubby and I decided to give Zola’s
a try on a Saturday evening. We were pleasantly surprised and had an absolutely fantastic experience.

The atmosphere was vibrant, thanks to the local band YOLO playing live music that really set the mood for a great night out. The ‘soul rolls’ appetizer was delicious and a perfect way to kick off our meal.

Our server, LaShonda, was fantastic – attentive, friendly, and always ready with a smile. We also appreciated how other staff regularly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed.

For the main course, I had salmon with black beans and rice, and collard greens. The collard greens were especially good, seasoned just right. Hubby went with the chicken wings, which he enjoyed. The portions were generous and satisfying and everything was plated beautifully.

Despite the negative reviews we had seen online, our experience at Zola was delightful with great food, excellent service, and the live music was an added bonus. We’ll definitely be returning!

I like to support blacked owned businesses and was eager to try Zola’s, however I was disappointed as soon as I arrived when I was not greeted. It was Sunday afternoon (12:30). After looking at the menu a few minutes, the waitress informed me that there were items that were not available. We ordered 2 drinks (mimosa and a spiked lemonade) . One of the drinks our waitress informs me is now a part of the list of items that are not available. “We have no lemonade. “ I end up ordering the “sweet heat burger” that looked nothing as described. In the description it mentioned the burger comes with homemade pickles, onions, & peppers and a side of potatoes. I received a burger topped with picked zucchini, radishes, and onions as well as a side of uncooked potatoes. I only ate half of my burger with disgust and left my potatoes on the plate. Additionally, I ordered a side of mac & cheese and greens based off of the reviews. I should’ve noticed all the red flags then. Both sides were okay, a bit bland.
Customer service got better during our stay, but first impressions mean everything. Staff would benefit from training in overall customer service and payment processing.

Very sloppy poor presentation, quantities and portion not at all what was shown, hot pepper and tons of seasoning salt on sweet plantain, soul rolls split and soggy from spilled sauce with no lids
