This is a cosy, bistro style restaurant with a variety of freshly prepared dishes. The menu changes based on what is in season. The restaurant also prides itself in trying to source mostly local ingredients. The ambience and atmosphere is very cosy and the staff are super awesome and friendly. The food is also moderately priced, especially considering how high quality it is. It also has a wonderful wine selection and a bar that can mix most drinks. It is also located just off Court Street so it is in downtown Athens, but not in the hustle and bustle of the bars on Court Street. I definitely recommend visiting Zoe’s if you are ever in Athens, OH.

Such a romantic atmosphere and great service for an affordable price! The mushroom ramen wasn’t my favorite, the mushrooms were quite chewy and the flavor of the vegetables seemed to take over the whole dish. But the salmon and mahi mahi with risotto were all delicious!

Came here on a Saturday evening for dinner. Got the chop salad and gnocchi as my meal. Very tasty and filling. One of party was gluten free and there were plenty of GF options. Our server was attentive and helpful. Good background music.

Bring a mask when you come here and bring your appetite as well. This is one of the finer restaurants in Athens for fine dining. Staff is attentive, atmosphere is relaxed, and food is delicious.

Our meal was fantastic from start to finish. I had the chopped salad, the scallop dish with mashed potatoes and chocolate crème brûlée for desert. So delicious. Scott you are a wonderful chef!!

Very nice staff… I got their specialty steak and sides. Sides were good but steak was too tough, real chewy (especially, for ordering it medium). Should just melt in your mouth. I’ll wait until they change their menu before going back. They use to have these delicious crab cakes appetizers. If it ain’t broke….

I had a lovely dining experience at Zoe. Wonderful ambience, great service, tasty food. I had the shrimp carbonara (8.5/10) and pomegranate martini (9/10) and a lemon drop (9/10). They make their own foccacia and it was so good! I hear the crab cakes are yummy so I’ll be back. Excellent spot for dinner if you’re a local or visitor to Athens.

I went there with my parents this past August. I had the Scallop and Clam Linguine and the Crab Cakes. Everything was delicious. The scallops were cooked just right and the sauce was great. My parents said their dishes were good as well. My only complaint is that there was a lot of noise, which comes from the open atmosphere of the restaurant. I would say this is probably the best fine dining in Athens in terms of its balance of taste, cost, variety and atmosphere.

Wonderful, cozy and classy atmosphere. Service and presentation were on par with a 5 star restaurant, a beautiful hole in the wall in Athens. Smaller menu selection but enough variety that everyone would be able to find something they’d enjoy. Most likely not suitable for younger kids. Don’t forget about the specials too! Chef, who is also the owner, even came out to check on us and say hello! Could be considered pricey but quality and presentation is well worth it. I would suggest visiting on Tuesdays when the wine is half price! Great for a special date night in Athens!
