Breakfast tacos were great. Simple good salsas to add on. I like the chorizo egg and cheese more than bacon egg and cheese.

Tortillas were soft warm and super fresh tasting. Price was reasonable. Super friendly and fast as well. Will be coming back

It was a cute spot on our road trip, but the breakfast tacos are very petite for being $4.5/piece lol- they tasted fine. The aspect that I don’t appreciate is an unitemized receipt- it felt very much as she was making the price up on the spot & it’s not listed on the menu so she can adjust it per customer.

Call ahead, cash or card. I’ve never had a bad taco, plate, breakfast or lunch experience here. The green sauce is spicier than the red- if you like amazing tacos check them out!

Update* the owners are amazing people- they know my voice when I call in and they are delightful and pleasant everyday lol ‍♂️ friggin love this place!

My first time here but I will definitely be back. I have lived in this area for a few years and keep passing by saying “one day I’ll try their tacos”. Finally, today was the day and I sure wish I would have tried this place sooner.

Since moving to Texas from Southern Cal, I haven’t found many places that have what I would call authentic tacos. I keep trying hoping to find that place and I just might have. They are located in a small food truck court off 71. Easy parking and they have plenty of outdoor seating if you want to enjoy your tacos fresh.

I only ordered “street tacos” with Adobada; I didn’t have to wait long and I did take them to-go since I don’t live very far. When I got home, they were still fresh and warm. They were prepared in fresh corn tortillas (they do also offer flour) and there is quite a bit of meat. They came with lime wedges and some red & green sauce. Given my experience with other taco locations, I wasn’t expecting much. But my first bite… I was surprised at how delicious they are. Most places I have been to, the meat tastes as though it has been warming in a metal bin for awhile and lacks freshness. But this meat was very fresh and delicious. Squeeze a little lime and add some of the green sauce and these tacos are epic!

I ordered three and thought for sure I would end up throwing one or two of them out. But after eating two of them, I saved the third for my daughter but was tempted to eat it too. If the tacos are this good… I am sure the rest of the food must be great. I have had tacos from a few places in downtown Austin that are good, but it’s a far drive to get them regularly. It’s nice to know the best tacos I have tried since coming to Texas is quite close to me. And between the tacos I have had in Austin and Ortega’s, I would choose Ortega’s any day.

Although they provided red sauce, if you like really spicy… use the green sauce. Like finding good tacos, it has been difficult to find good spicy taco sauce but their green sauce is going to make you sweat a little. Although I waited years to try, I’m glad I finally tried Ortega’s and I will be back soon.

A Taco Paradise: Unforgettable Flavors and Exceptional Service!

If you’re on the hunt for an extraordinary taco experience that will leave you speechless, look no further than this fantastic food truck.

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by warm smiles (not just from the staff, but from the others eating!) and an atmosphere of energy and excitement. I knew I was in for something special; this place delivered!

Every taco I devoured from this food truck was a symphony of deliciousness. The fusion of ingredients and spices was nothing short of memorable.

However, the impeccable service truly sets this food truck apart. The staff here is attentive and genuinely passionate about their craft. They take the time to explain each dish and make helpful recommendations, ensuring that every customer finds their perfect taco match.

Now, let’s talk about the pièce de résistance: Ortega’s Special taco. This tantalizing creation is an absolute must-try, an enigma of flavors that will leave you wondering how you’ve waited so long for something this extraordinary to exist. The Ortega’s Special is a fusion of chorizo and bacon, perfectly grilled and paired with a harmonious blend of vegetables, seasonings and spices, all on top of a beautifully fried egg: an absolute treasure and the best taco in America (prove me wrong!).

Lastly, I must commend the food truck for its pricing. While the flavors and service could easily justify higher prices, they have managed to strike a balance that makes you feel grateful to pay even more for the tip. It’s a testament to their commitment to providing an unforgettable experience without breaking the bank.

If you’re seeking a taco experience that will, no doubt, surprise you, this food truck is a hidden gem you cannot miss. The flavors will leave an indelible mark on your taste buds, and the exceptional service will make you feel like a valued guest.

And remember, the Ortega’s Special taco is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that only the lucky have enjoyed savoring. So please make sure you’re one of them! The breakfast taco that ended all other breakfast tacos.

I thought tacos here were a little on the pricey side my first try but their portions were so generous that it was well worth it! Their steak fajita tacos with pico are delicious and very filling, definitely my favorite hi-protein option! 1 taco is plenty but you’ll want to eat more.

First time trying this taco truck and I will definitely be back!! I got the Lengua taco and chorizo and egg, so fresh and tasty. My bf got two bacon egg and cheese, also hit the spot! Not to mention, each taco averaged at $3.75 for price, such a good deal.

Finally! I found a great breakfast burrito in Austin. Breakfast tacos rule the morning in Austin, and I can’t complain much. But in Los Angeles where I moved from, the breakfast burrito is king. I had the Ortega Burrito, which has chorizo and bacon with onions, jalapeños. Instead of scrambled eggs, they were over easy which was a nice touch. Just the right spice for me.
