I mean— who else would go out of their way to help you throw a Hedgehog birthday party, aaaaaand— simultaneously support many of my philanthropic Yoga events (raising money for local nonprofits within our beautiful Colorado Springs community!)
STUPENDOUS doesn’t even begin to cover it!
Staff is serving while munching on their snacks. It’s super unsanitary. And who wants a server talking to you while they’re still chewing their food? Or putting the lime in their Corona, when they haven’t washed their hands and just munched on chips and salsa.
The staff seemed largely distracted by consuming their own snacks/ meals any chance they got. Even my date questioned from the moment we walked in, “why is the staff eating/ chewing” he thought they were having a staff party or get together.
The chicken quesadilla we had (and had previously on a separate visit) was not as good as the previous time and served with no salsas. The Chili Rellanos were mediocre.
The entire visit was such a turn off due to the staff eating and not washing their hands.
We did speak to the manager and I expressed my concerns and even emailed the owners. This is unacceptable.
I don’t recommend.
Initial review: Spunky, Delicious. NOISY.

a fun spot with tasty food. Only complaints the noise, and inconsistency in hours posted on the doors.
Really not cool guys- for the customers or your employees. If you close at 10- UPDATE THE DOORS.
SO HOURS ARE NOT TRUSTWORTHY!!!
You basically have to yell at the person next to you because of the music being so loud and all the other people yelling to talk.
Other than that. Great food except for the guacamole appetizer which was bland, granted we ordered the mango and tajin on the side.
They accommodated our request for a chicken quesadilla *ZOCALO*- add it to the menu, it was one of the best chicken quesadillas! Thank you for accommodating our request.
Drinks, especially the margaritas are STRONG.
The swings look like fun and since I will return to enjoy a seat on the swings, I suppose I’d recommend them.
The service each time was impeccable as well.
This venue is fun. It has a good vibe and seems well decorated. The location is pretty solid, with seemingly ample parking up and down the street. This is a welcomed surprise off of Tejon.
Additionally, the service was fine. Our server was attentive and inoffensive. No complaints.
Onto the negatives:
This may have been the worst meal I’ve ever had.
The food was uninspired, inauthentic, and frankly appalling. The brisket was chewy, the carnitas were incredibly dry, and the steak may have been microwaved. I believe the carnitas were likely a canned product; They were dry and far too salty. The pink hue was not something that I’ve seen from any other non-canned protein. I also believe the “green salsa” that came over the chimichanga tasted remarkably similar to the “La Victoria” Green Enchilada Sauce from Hormel. Everything had a bit of a metallic tinge to it, leading us to believe the food was freshly opened and poured onto our plates.
Worst of all, the meal was incredibly overpriced. Three tacos and a chimichanga came out to $80.
Save your time, go to Por Favor off of Garden of the Gods. Save your money, go to Monica’s Tacos. I would recommend 7/11 over this place.
Disappointed.
