Zinnia is a destination for everyone. Located on the grounds of the iconic Mrs. Ks Tollhouse, Zinnia offers the same historic charm with garden and tavern seating, indoor bar and dinner seating, and a traditional café service in the mornings. A casual fine-dining experience is in the works to be unveiled late Summer 2022.

Zinnia – Order Online
Reviews
We all left satisfied and would recommend to others.
I’ve attached the February event calendar and plan to check some out!
Thank you to our server Bianca for friendly and attentive service. The general manager was very welcoming upon our entry and nice to chat with when I bumped into him later.
Looking forward to future visits to Zinnia.
Now this area was packed and busy, there was a mini farmers market happening behind Zinnia’s, and also Christmas tree pickup, so parking was a little stressful. I luckily found parking in the lot across the street when someone was leaving, however, give yourself an extra 5-10 minutes to find parking. My friends were almost late for our reservations because they had to park a few blocks away.
There are two floors, and we sat downstairs, and it was so cute and cozy. Our waiter Kevin was THE BEST!! He was so warm, and we felt so welcomed by him (please give him a raise).
I ordered a chai latte, quiche with a side of old bay fries, and the challah French toast for my friends and I to share. I am a sucker for fries and was excited to pair them with my food. I personally enjoyed my food a lot. My quiche needed a bit of salt love, but everything was super good. At the end, they gave us a postcard with our receipt, which I was super excited for.
I LOVE that they played live music. It truly adds to the atmosphere. It did get really loud, and they were receptive to toning it down.
The hostesses who checked us in were cold and standoffish. It could have been because the place was really busy, chaotic, and overstimulating, but I don’t know.
I was pleasantly surprised by the interior, and the pictures don’t do it this place justice, ESPECIALLY for the downstairs.
I would 100% come back. My mom would love this, so you will see me again with her.
Once seated, we were promptly asked if we preferred still or sparkling water–though we weren’t informed there was a $10 per adult charge for sparkling water. On a positive note, they offer a lovely selection of 12 teas. Our server highly recommended their fruit teas, so I opted for the Goji Berry Herbal Tea.
We were served plates of fresh fruit–gooseberries, kiwi, and starfruit–before the tea towers arrived, but we had to ask several times for silverware, as none was provided initially. The tea towers were beautifully presented, and I appreciated that they had customized options for various dietary needs (gluten-free, kids, pescatarian, vegan, vegetarian), and they were able to accommodate my allergies. However, one guest had a nut allergy and wasn’t informed about the cranberry-walnut bread used in the brie and fig jam sandwich.
Each tower came with seven savory and five sweet items. My top picks were the Coronation Chicken with Mango Chutney and the Chocolate Mousse with Fresh Raspberry. Toward the end, we had to request boxes and scone condiments multiple times.
When it came time to pay, we were surprised to see a 20% service charge automatically added, along with a suggested gratuity of 20-30%.
The interior is so charming!
The outdoor garden area could be nicer. The furniture looks worn out and could use some spray painting or replacing. The umbrellas could be replaced with better designs and colors. If that is done well, the garden could be an amazing space.
Edit: we brought our parents here for the dinner on a Tuesday and were pleasantly surprised by the Happy Hour menu items. We don’t drink alcohol but could still order from it. We were warmly treated by the waitress who was ultra attentive.
We the ordered hamburger (so juicy!), mussels (highly recommend!), steak (would not order again), lobster and grits (very flavorful), and cauliflower (delicious). Everything was so delicious! Increasing our rating from 4 to 5 stars!
I hosted an event here and every one of my guests thoroughly enjoyed it. There was a set 3-course menu with a great selection of beer and wine. If you’re hosting a dinner party, wedding reception, or a brunch, this is a great place to do it.
The service was attentive. They did a great job anticipating our needs. Food came out quickly. All of the dishes were full flavor – the steak was very tender and the portion sizes left us feeling very satisfied.
Great local business! Would come back again.
My friends and I had a wonderful evening at Zinnia while enjoying drinks, apps, dinner, and dessert.
Staff was accommodating to help me avoid stairs (♿) and readily answered questions about the menu as my party ordered.
Prices are very reasonable given the generous portions. There are lots of vegetarian options, and meat can be added to certain meals if you prefer.
Wonderful experience. Will definitely visit again.
For drinks, we got the Mimosa Special, which came with a whole bottle of Simonet sparkling wine with your choice of orange or grapefruit juice—this is a great option if you’re splitting with someone—we got two rounds of this! We ended chatting and drinking longer than expected so they eventually moved us to the bar so they could use our table for the afternoon tea party (starting 3pm)—while moving our newly opened champagne bottle, they tossed it out by accident, so the bartender gave us a new bottle. Our table server was nice and attentive but after we were asked to move to the bar, he never came over to check on us. The manager or host (not sure what position he was), also stopped by our table a few times to make sure we were okay (before we sat at the bar).
