For the price its what you expect. The tea was excellent and frankly my favorite part. We got a nice 3 person love boat and octopus appetizers. Of all the sushi places I been to I would say this one is the best quality for the price, while hone-yori? Had better tasting food and sushi the service spoils it.
If you’re looking for good presentation and want to get higher quality sushi I would recommend this place. You might want to come earlier though as the sushi rice was a bit dry.
It’s not the #1 sushi, and the store is a bit cramped. Prices are honestly pretty average so it’s not too crazy.

Wow. I’m new to the area and have been trying to find a good Japanese restaurant like I’m used to in Detroit. Found it! The sushi and Chinese dinners were amazing. The staff was friendly. The only thing that is not perfect is that it is a very narrow dining area that affects the ambiance. Otherwise, come here!

Dephne and her team are absolutely wonderful. We were hosting a big Christmas Eve party and they went above and beyond to make a memorable sushi experience for all of our guests. I had the absolute pleasure of going here recently and it was incredible, the wait staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, the service was quick, and the food was very tasty!
When I first walked in, I was hit with an emanating aroma that could only be described as “fresh”. And then I noticed that the inside was a bit quaint due to limited seating and overall real estate for tables. Despite this fact, however, I found that the environment was still pretty quiet, and it was difficult to hear other people even though everyone is pretty close together. They do a really good job of creating a personalized atmosphere so that it doesn’t feel like you’re on top of everyone. The restaurant was basically packed when I arrived, and none of it ever felt like a “squeeze”.
I got the California Roll and Crab Rangoon and I found both of them to be very delicious. Notably, the sushi was prepared incredibly fast and I had all of my food within 10 mins of ordering (Ordered for two people including myself). As you can tell from the lack of the picture of sushi, I enjoyed it very much lol. I was also quite surprised with how much they were able to pack into each roll, definitely the most packed rolls I’ve ever had. The Crab Rangoon had a nice breading to it, but if I’m looking for any reason to critique it, it could have been slightly more crispy. I think that the Sweet & Sour sauce that was served with it was fresh and had great flavor.
Lastly, this location is nicely situated mere minutes from the riverfront. I would highly recommend taking a trip over there after coming here, as it is filled with scenic walks and interesting waterscapes.

They have a nice but abbreviated menu, limited assortment of raw fish, but generous servings. My complaint has to do with being rushed. The restaurant was steady, mostly take out and there were numerous empty tables, but we were inundated with a plethora of attendants wanting to clear our table.

Our first sushi experience. We really liked the way the menu was set up so that you could understand what was raw and what wasn’t.
The sushi here was fantastic. They get the food out to you quick! We tried the California roll and the Yummy roll. Both were great but the Yummy roll was my favorite.
My wife got the cashew chicken with ginger salad and egg drop soup. The cashew chicken wasn’t great, it was mostly water chestnuts.
This isn’t a bad thing at all but it seems like Zing specializes in Sushi, but their other dishes are average.
That being said this was the best sushi we’ve had and we can’t wait to return again for more! Excellent service and great sushi.
