Very clean. OMG. I am incredibly incredibly surprised by what they call oxtail. Not too many people would fancy it perhaps; however this was a delicatessen of all flavors and it was the meatiest son of a gun you will ever taste.. apparently is something of a new taste. I was a hesitant for I am a skittish newcomer, but I was on a night out with a few friends in the country from the city and decided to pop into this place and experiment – HOLY COW! FN GEWD!
Is smelt pretty fragrant walking past the front entrance of sidewalk and I was intrigued. I was wanting fish and chips; however there was various diverse smells in the air that candor to my liking….
I was informed that there was fish & chips, but Caribbean dishes as well and I looked at the menu and was extremely surprised by the diversity – it was very appetizing, swear to goodness graces or God lol fn gewd !!!!
It’s a rather traditional place, although I kid you not I tried the different dishes we all ordered and we shared each other’s dishes for sure.
It was a very very very positive experience at this location and food!!
Oh yes I will have to update soon with names – forgot chef and chef assistant. Both have a very good knack and pallet…
– I forgot to mention that the fish I ordered was very very clean. The fries were not skinned off and I really appreciate the skin on potato. Pretty good place actually. No wonder it has 4.7 or almost five star rating to be honest.
My partner is a five-star chef and actually approves very much so.

Absolutely amazing food and customer service! The ox tail is Gluten Free which is amazing, as finding authentic ox tail that is actually Gluten Free anywhere around this area is super, super, super hard to actually find. But the owner here is super friendly and really knowledgeable and takes the entire matter very, very, VERY seriously, which as someone with severe celiacs disease, this is actually highly appreciated and I am extremely thankful for. I cannot recommend this place enough!!!!! The customer service is above and beyond, the food is just out of this world delisious, and the prices, for what you actually get just cannot be beat especially in this day and age lol. I highly recommend that IF you are anywhere even close to the area and can make it over to this restaurant, that you make the trip over here and try this place out! I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed at all. It is well worth the trip out to this place. Great food, at great prices, with great customer service!!!!!!

We tried multiple dishes while we were there and everything was exquisite. From the fish & chips to their curry roti dish, nothing was short of spectacular. Each item was flavourful, fresh and delivered hot. We were shown such genuine hospitality by both the owners and workers which added to our experience that much more. Outside of the GTA, it is definitely a spot I would tell anyone to take the time to travel to and enjoy!

Haddock fish and chips were good, not greasy at all and the fresh cut fries were great. Other meal was the jerk stir fry generously portioned and the meat was nice and soft.

My husband and I came in for a late lunch last month. The owner was so kind and he made us the most delicious chicken curry roti. I’m still thinking about it. I don’t live in the area, but I can’t wait to go back. Food was authentic and fresh!

This restaurant has a very warm and cozy feel inside and the exterior is quite charming. To place an order you read the menu at the front and pay before sitting – the food is brought over when it’s ready. Overall, the fried food had good taste at good value! We got the haddock combo (1 haddock, a TON of fries, jalapeno shrimp, and coleslaw) with battered mushrooms on the side. The combo portions are quite large – it was a lot of food for one person especially being heavy fried food, we managed to share one combo between 3 people. Another friend got the halibut combo which comes with 4 pieces of fish – which would be a better option for sharing. It would have been useful to know how many pieces of fish came with our combos in advance from the menu. Everything served in good time, and tasted fresh. I would have liked the shrimps more if they were actually spicy but that’s not a huge set back. The seating was rustic (we sat on wooden booths), but not terribly comfortable to sit on for a long time.

Stopped by Ziggy’s Fish & Chips while camping at Emily Park with a senior friend and wow what a delightful surprise! The place was very clean and the fish and chips were crispy, golden and delicious. You can tell they take pride in their food and their space.
What really made the visit special was the people. One of the owners Herbert, was a joy to chat with. He was friendly, welcoming and we even discovered we both live in the same town! That little connection made the experience feel more personal. The staff member who brought us our bill was just as lovely and polite and greeted us with a genuine smile.
The menu has plenty more to explore and I’m already looking forward to trying their Caribbean dishes next time. I’ll definitely be back and who knows, maybe I’ll bump into Herbert around town!
