The one star is coming from two different areas. 1. Not super important, but I don’t want to be asked repeatedly if I want to sign up for rewards. We don’t need to give personal information, phone number, address, Social Security number, DoB, cousin’s favorite pet, and a DNA swab just for me to purchase a cup of coffee.
And 2. literally one of the highlights of grabbing coffee at Ziggi’s is that we bring our dogs and get them whip cups with bones. When one of the staff acts excited and happy to see them, we ask if they’d like to give the older dog a bone. The last time we went through the drive-through, one of the baristas informed us this was no longer allowed since “they might get bit”. The barista seemed very saddened by this, and, quite frankly, it completely soured our desire to return. Our dog even got to the point where she would recognize certain baristas as “friendly”, and scooch closer to the window in anticipation of seeing her biscuit-distributing friend.
I completely understand wanting to make sure your staff is safe and protected from potentially unfriendly dogs, but “banning” your staff from giving a biscuit to our dog who has never bitten anyone, shown any signs of aggression, and very patiently waits for her biscuit, this feels excessive and like a personal slight when there’s been no issues.
The staff and products are great. I’m just dumbfounded as to how it takes 3-5 minutes per car. Legitimately the slowest drive through I’ve ever been in.
One late morning I came in and the new owner was being rude and and loud about something incredibly petty while I was getting my coffee. I could here her all the way in the drive through. Talk about unprofessional!
I figured out the gals name whose doing this- I guess it’s Jill. So just beware if she’s around- you might hear her belitting her employees. I wish this coffee shop wasn’t so close- it’s such an inconvenience to go anywhere else but honestly like I said I’m not happy with what had happened and I really miss all my barista buddies…. they probably didn’t even realize it but some days their smiles and their warm acknowledgment of me was enough to get me going through some really tough days! I’ll miss them. 🙁
What I am having the hardest time cutting out is the customer service that I get when I go.
The folks that work at this specific location keep me coming back no matter how hard I try to tell myself no.
They are super friendly, they always make me smile, if I’m having a bad day, I know going to Ziggy’s we’ll always make it better.
They are super friendly while taking my order, super informative, they always make sure I’m getting the correct amount of flavoring when I ask for extra. They are very attentive, and quite convincing when they have any extras to add on like food.
I will always come back to this location just for their friendly faces, even though I passed several other Ziggy’s on my commute.
My five star is for the coffee, because it is absolutely amazing, but it’s mostly for the kind folks that work at this location.
