Reviews
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable from start to finish.
We placed a carryout order and very clearly gave instructions on how we wanted our wings cooked. Not only did they completely ignore those directions, but our order was also missing items when we got home. Mistakes happen — but what matters is how a business handles them.
When we called to have it corrected, we were transferred to someone else and had to re-explain the entire situation. After finally getting someone to address it, we were told it would be made right. We drove back to the restaurant, only to find out they hadn’t even started remaking the food. They waited until we arrived to begin preparing it, leaving us sitting there even longer.
While we were waiting, we called to ask about the delay and were transferred yet again. The lack of communication, organization, and basic customer service was shocking.
Getting an order correct and handling mistakes professionally should be the bare minimum. Unfortunately, this experience showed a complete lack of attention to detail and respect for customers’ time.
Very disappointing.
Next we got wings, ribs and pulled pork. I thought all of that had really good flavor. We got the mild option. The food was really filling.
The waitress….from my point of view I could tell who she interacted with a lot and who she didnt know. She was far more friendly, open and engaging with the customers she clearly knew and saw more often. For those of us she didnt, she was not straight out rude but she wasn’t exactly friendly. I said thank you and her response was yep as she was walking away. So I was disappointed in our service but not to the point we wouldn’t come back. Ill probably ask to sit in the dining room vs the bar next time. Note: when we went the bar nor the restaurant were busy.
The just ok: we had ribs, rib tips, italian sandwich, sausage roll, chicken wings, and sides. Our food was all good, no complaints, nothing bad, but nothing outstanding.
The bad: nothing bad to speak about, all was good.
Highly recommended, and Chelsea made the experience even better.
The food was pretty good. I wasn’t necessarily “wowed” by anything, but I will say, the value is there. You get a pretty good amount of food for not a lot of money.
The environment was pretty cool! Dimly lit, warm, and a dive-bar type of style. This place was nice to go to, and for Fort Wayne, pretty good BBQ.
When I got my order that baby was loaded. 4 big ribs, Big chicken cut smothered in very good BBQ sauce. Not heavy sauce, Light and smothered with a healthy order of fries and a Slice of Baked bread…. Man it was really good. I came for the ribs but fell in love with the chicken. Worth every penny. Do not skip on this plave if your visiting fort wayne. Ive lived around here since 2000 and never tried till now. It was some of the best BBQ ive had in Indiana
After a lot of denying there was an order for me, they “found” it on the counter in front of their faces.
Whoever is the “Supervisor ” needs to be replaced immediately! They have failed miserably.
The quality of the food has been going down for many years. So much so that I wanted to get a hammer and chisel to eat the ribs. I wasted my time and money. They clearly need adult supervision in the kitchen. Terrible food, the kitchen looked filthy and the “kids” were acting as such.
So sad seeing what Ziffles has become.
