Went with my family to this restaurant. Supposedly its Italian food but not very authentic rather very americanised. The cabonara was more like alfredo sauce. The atmosphere was nice however, we had to wait almost 30 minutes for our reserved table. As excuse we got a pizza for free which was nice.

The outdoor space was beautiful and nicely done, but sometimes when it’s windy, it’s not easy to eat and the food can get cold quickly. There’s a big outdoor section and you have choices of where to sit where there’s more light or more wind and more exposure, but they also have umbrellas, which are very helpful. The food was very good, especially the lasagna that was individually done and made from scratch and inside an individual cast iron pan. The portion was amazing and it’s wonderful if you’re starving. Otherwise you can have a leftovers. The fish special for bass was really good after we asked them to make it simple without the sauce. It came out way too salty the first time. And for $30, We didn’t think it was worth it because the fish wasn’t very plump or juicy and there wasn’t a lot of fish. The sausages and peppers were very good and tasty and fresh. The drink was very good. The wait staff were very attentive. There is Free Parking on the street if you can find it and it wasn’t that difficult to find. There is no private parking lot. Overall, it’s a beautiful and big restaurant and the food is very good. They have chewy Italian bread on the house that comes with grated Parmesan cheese and some vinegar, flavored vegetable vegetables, and olives.

4 of us went here for dinner Saturday night. Our waiter, Jose, was very good!! He had answered all questions we had about the menu! I wish they had clams (baked) as we are true Italians and love them! The food, dessert, drinks, and cappuccino were all very good! Will definitely be back…but hope to see clams on there menu in the future!

Zia’s Social is awesome! Great spot to grab a drink and dinner! The appetizers, entrees, beer selection, and cocktails are all great. Good spot to have a nice Italian dinner! Decent sized venue. Always have had a nice time when ate here! I have ate here a bunch of times! They have an upstairs can rent out for parties or events. Street parking but it isn’t tough to get.

Zia’s is a Northwest Chicago favorite of mine. They have THE BEST crispy Brussels sprouts I’ve ever had. I’ve come back just to order these only, so good I even tried to recreate it at home. Pizza options are good. Carbonara in a Jar is a delicious creamy pasta which I’ve now ordered twice. I always like to bring new people here because you can never go wrong here. They have a huge restaurant, indoor, outdoor, and covered outdoor space during colder months. There is always seating available and they seem to do really well hosting large groups/parties. I’ve also been for brunch once, the menu is simpler plus they have a bottomless mimosa option. Service is always spectacular. I’ll be back again and again.

Stumbled across this place going somewhere else for an early dinner & as I drove past their outdoor open bar patio it caught my attention and I made a quick U turn and so glad I did ! This patio alone is 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️’s! Italian Rest/Bar and it was good 3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️. Atmosphere, ambience, service and food/drinks all good!. a bit over prices + a service fee for using your credit card but ‍♂️oh well, every restaurant seems to be doing it these days is ( downfall) covid was the reason behind it before so there’s no reason for it now, not for the prices they charge. Anyhow, we had 3 ” shareables ” basically the appetizers which for these appetizers and 2 drinks( Old Fashion & Espresso Martini) totaled almost 100 dollars with the rax, tip, service fee together. Can’t say it was worth 100 dollars but ‍♂️
1st-Brussel sprouts with pieces of bacon and creamy goat cheese( pretty good) but I would add a drizzle of basalmic glaze to make this dish really good!
2- Also ordered the shrimp Scampi which they serve in a small cast iron – 5 shrimps were pretty big absolutely served with lemon juice in the cast iron … nothing to write home about except the shrimps felt more steamed vs grilled, But I guess paying almost 4 dollars per shrimp is ehhh- not something I’d ordered again, and
3- we had the beef tips sautéed in a wine sauce with very small diced veggies and crumbled blue cheese- this would’ve been fantastic because it was so tender but I would’ve switched the cheeses and put the goat cheese with this plate and the blue cheese with the brussel sprouts. This plate was ok because it tasted too salty. Overall again , the patio is very inviting and fun , and I’ll be back for the drinks and to enjoy the outdoor vive

Very nice holiday ambiance and open atmosphere with a lot of candles and unique decor! Our server was really friendly and did not rush us at all! Fresh warm hot bread with crunchy crust to start the meal is always a great start to any meal. I appreciated/enjoyed the many options for salads and the cauliflower one was excellent with pistachios and roasted peppers! They gave a lot of great appetizers and entrees too. I would go back for a larger meal and to try pasta next time. Good portions and prices too, surprising for the area!

My friends and I wanted to celebrate New Year’s and we landed on Zia’s Social.
We made reservations and were able to get seated right away, and we were quickly served.
We began with drinks, and the Shirley Temples were delicious. For appetizers, we got truffle fries which were alright and for our main we got a New Years Special which were these lobster pasta pillows and they were SO GOOD and a margherita pizza which was pretty good too (just very cheesy!!). We got served our food very quickly despite it being busy.
For desert we got the lava brownie which was really gooey and delicious and the banana split tacos which were amazing. I would highly reccomend the desserts!!
The vibe was amazing- they had a DJ and fun New Years hats and other little things and even a dance floor! I would definitely recomend this place for the vibe and pretty inexpensive, good food!

I went for an event in the patio. Started at the bar while waiting. Good service and friendly staff. After event I stayed for dinner. The veal Zia ? Was exquisite. The warmth and blend of flavors reminded me of the cuisine I had in Italy. The depth of flavor in the sauce helped tie the dish together. The polenta surprisingly was good with this dish. The veal and spinach were just great. It was trying to get every piece of the dish I to the bite was slightly challenging because their were so many savory pieces. It was a wonderful entree. The suggested wine complimented the meal as well. The tiramisu lost the star for me. I can see the vision, but lacking. Not traditional tiramisu. The Cake tasted drenched in liqueur. It was also cake not a savoulde. The top had dark cocoa and drizzled chocolate. With strawberries to accent the plate. The flavor was with the drizzled chocolate and not the Tiramisù. It just felt like a cake created for a church social or block party. Not good. Other than that the restaurant was excellent.
