friendly and super helpful with her recommendations. We enjoyed our cocktails. We had the flatbread mezze plate, the kebab, and the deconstructed samosas. We would have all of them again. We also took home some of their beautiful homemade chocolates.

ZI Spice was such a lovely stop. I had a chai latte and a kebab salad—both absolutely delicious—and grabbed a few bonbons that were dangerously good. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, made great suggestions, and created such a sweet, relaxed vibe. Bonus points for being dog-friendly . You can feel the care here. I’ll definitely be back.

Stopped into Zi Spice in Ashland on a Saturday around 1:30 PM, and the place was nearly full — always a good sign. The young man at the counter greeted me with eye contact and a warm “How are you doing?” Who does that anymore?! It set such a positive tone right off the bat.
There weren’t many pastries or bon bons left in the case, which I took as another good sign that things here move quickly for a reason. I ordered a saffron-cardamom hot chocolate and a kebob street sandwich to go. The wait was about 18 minutes — not bad for how busy they were — though I did notice a couple of people approach the counter to check on their orders, and my drink also turned out to be one of the ones momentarily forgotten.
The staff swiftly handled it: the counter person sincerely apologized, and the barista upgraded my drink and added extra chocolate without being asked. That’s a good sign that they really value their customers.
The sandwich, served on house-made gluten-free sourdough, was incredible — crisp outside, soft inside, with layers of flavor that really pop. Hard to believe it was gluten-free!
To finish things off, I grabbed the two remaining bonbon flavors— one mango latte and one mango with pepper — and the mango latte with pepper might honestly be one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten.
A few service kinks to smooth out, sure, but the food, flavors, and personal service here are outstanding. I’ll definitely be back!

We had the most delicious lunch here today. We tried the fried chicken (two of us) and it was so light, delicious, and unexpectedly flavorful and unique. The breading was perfect, the chicken was moist and the many sauces that swirled around the serving bowl were flavorful and FANTASTIC. Hot honey yogurt, a tart mango, an umami dark sauce, and an unidentifiable but delicious pink sauce that was just the right kind of sour.
This place has such a great vibe! We went early (before noon) when diners were just beginning to arrive for lunch. By the time we left, it was packed and people were happily waiting for tables to dine at.

Stopped by for a coffee and a brief meeting with a couple of people, was served a burnt bun, coffee was ok. While sitting down an older women kept walking around the dining room, strangely moving pillows around and getting into peoples personal space. I could only assume it’s an owner or a manager, and it’s understandable to do set up. The thing that I couldn’t understand is this place opens at 9 and she was doing this at 10:40, my suggestion would be set up the shop prior to opening instead of walking around menacingly staring at customers with a nasty look on your face. Service was fine but the atmosphere was completely strange due to this women.

I have never felt so compelled to leave a positive review. Zi Spice is an absolute gem in Ashland. The atmosphere is casual, calm, and deeply inviting, yet the food and drinks are truly top-tier.
