The host had the kind of welcoming energy that makes you instantly feel you’re in the right place, and that impression was only confirmed by how wonderful our server Johnny was. We were celebrating an anniversary, and he surprised us with half glasses of Prosecco! Since we were short on time, he helped us choose dishes that would come out quickly and still be delicious.
We ordered cocktails, the short rib tacos, and the bread tray and everything was absolutely phenomenal. The flavors, presentation, and pacing were perfect- nothing could have been improved.
We sat outdoors for the view, which was stunning (easily one of the prettiest spots we’ve found since moving to the city). The indoor seating looked beautiful too with huge windows and a warm modern vibe.
We’re already talking about coming back soon. Zest has officially become our new go-to place for nights when we want great food, great service, and a little pick-me-up after a long day. Highly, highly recommend!
We ended up here on a whim and were seated right away on a Saturday night. Our server Hannah took great care of us, and the restaurant is up on the 6th floor with an incredible view.
The food was stunning. We have 2 vegetarians in our group and were thrilled with our options – the appetizers had creative flavor combinations and everything was so unique. Kimchi roasted cauliflower, roasted crispy chickpeas, incredible asparagus in a delicious bed of sauce, a roasted corn risotto… ridiculously good. My dad said the short rib was a bit dry, but the flavors were excellent and that it didn’t detract from the overall strength of this meal.
Would strongly recommend for a nice date or fancy occasion!
My girlfriend and I always enjoyed the restaurant due to it food, drinks, view, and overall aesthetic, as well as its quality staff. But now, their meals have advanced to another plain.
The seared salmon was phenomenal. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, and with amazing rice and blistered tomatoes, it was an absolute treat. My girlfriend got a couple of small plates and she loved her meal as well.
In the morning, we returned for brunch, which usually wasn’t as good in the past. My girlfriend wanted scrambled eggs and bacon and fries. Since I was starving, I indulged in the beef poutine with onion gravy over fries and with an egg — as well as the blistered tomatoes. Absolutely phenomenal (along with a great cappuccino). The flavors were truly incredible. (Before all of this, we went crazy over the banana bread with peanut butter. Unbelieveable.)
Kimberly, the server who may be the best in town, took care of us, which only added to our experience. She is a stellar ambassador to ZEST.
Reservations were fast and easy. Upon arrival (both times) we were seated immediately.
The only strange thing had nothing to do with ZEST: Even within the restaurant, if you search for “brunch near me” or “breakfast near me,” ZEST does not come up at all. That’s a shame because many souls may be missing out on a fantastic experience.
Our table had a beautiful view just at sunset, truly beautiful dining room.
Our Server was rushed, took a bit to get us our first drink. We also ordered the Cauliflower appetizer which was delicious. A complex and spicy flavor that was perfect to share
The entree highlights included Short Rib and wonderful sides. The Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Cous Cous, Crispy Chickpeas and Asparagus were all perfectly seasoned and deliver hot to the table.
A great dinner as a visitor to Bethlehem, PA
Food: appetizers were really good I liked the empanadas and the tacos sauces for both were amazing. I also ordered 2 fillet mignon and the butchers cut, which was a T-bone steak both where very salty I’m a huge salt guy I love salt but it was more then enough salt as a former Chef the T-bone steak was to charred some people like the char but it was borderline burnt I’d recommend starting off with a quick sear into then grilling but also if you clean the grill appropriately it wouldn’t have much of the char taste also season it with salt first dry it then add pepper or Montreal nearing end cause it’ll help with the excessive charring.
Desert was the crème brûlée was Good little less sweet then desired but came out good had great flavor and the crunch was great well plated.
Overall: place wasn’t bad just service wasn’t great. was my tip not enough, I know I ordered 204 dollars worth of food but damn great way to make me never wanna tip again I actually hate feeling like something I did was not enough a simple, “usually people do $40 tip on a 200+ order as it allows us to operate bringing in all the food” or anything other then a petty “Thanks!” Followed by circling it and making it seem like my tip wasn’t enough.
My friends and I stopped by for happy hour last Thursday and were lucky enough to get a table on the terrace. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and view overlooking the steel stacks and Bethlehem was picturesque.
We began with the charcuterie board and crispy bao buns. The board featured an assortment of meats, cheeses, pickles, and crostini. The bao buns were filled with braised short rib, pickled pepper, and cilantro lime aioli.
I enjoyed the braised short rib on the bao buns so much I chose the braised short rib for my entree. The dish was served with saffron pearled cous cous, spiced carrots, Swiss chard, and a flavorful pomegranate beef jus, all of which complimented the tender short rib beautifully.
Pickup is available, but there is no delivery. Happy hour is Tue – Fri from 5PM – 6:30PM.
