The waitress was awesome , always checking in on us and refilling our drinks before we ran out. The cook however couldnt get my steak right. Medium well does not mean chared outside raw inside. Not to mention the young night manager was sitting with her friends talking loud and being obnoxious. If they can get rid of the “highschool” manager and train the cook on proper steak preparations it would run so much smoother. As of right now I wouldn’t recommend going in after the sun sets.

Horrible! My girlfriend said to stop at the next mom & Pop Place for dinner trying to be spontaneous we inside Zelmas. We first walked in and was told to sit down by one waitresses, the other waitress rudely said where not to sit. We found a seat that was suited to the waitress She didn’t greet us or even handed out a menu. She came to the table and asked what to drink I looked at her and said what do you? She said Pepsi…. Long stare before I realized it was Pepsi products.
Orded our drinks. They were flat!
Then finally we received our menu looked it over to decide that We originally wanted the brosted chicken. Well when we decided what we wanted she said all out then she gave us a few more minutes she came back the we asked for glazed chicken breast. All out! Then we asked for baked spaghetti. All out! We then asked what do you have? She said meat loaf. So we ordered two starters 5:99 each onion rings & chillie cheese Fries. Meat loaf which came with two sides we asked for Mac & cheese. Mashed potatoes. All out! Okay… What do you have? Apple sauce.. OK we will take that. She said oh the Green beans are really good! Okay! We will take it. We get our starters the chilie cheese fries had pasta in it Gross! Look at the onion rings to find generic store bought onion rings 6 ! We asked is it really $6? She said yep! After Zelma passed away we jacked the prices up. Okay whatever $1 a onion ring what ever. Just thought the meat loaf will be much more worth it…. Then we are served with the freashly opened canned Green beans! Wow ! Meat loaf was Green! And the inside raw! Never got the Apple Sauce! And was charged $27.00 as we are paying for our amazing lesson, we here people behind us walk into the restaurant. Our waitress starts spitting profanity saying why are these people coming in! We close soon! The sign on the restaurant says 24 hours! Ugh Gross experience! I wish we could give -5 stars as a huge favor to whoever might be considering the very idea of skipping happly into the doors of Zelmas to expect a satisfactory meal!
The waitress was most rude and not helpful! The cook looked straight out of the 70’s who was wearing a very deep v neck as looked to be on some hard drugs! Horrible place! Worse place ever! I recently visited zelmas and had their z’s breakfast. As soon as the meal was brought to me I pointed out that there was a long piece of hair in my eggs. =( She took the plate and then two seconds later, brought me back the same plate(sausage and hash browns) minus the eggs.
I was expecting them to trash the meal and make it anew. I began to look over the meal and found another hair stuck to the syrup container.
Anyways, the waitress brought back some more eggs( couldve been the same ones minus the hair) and I ate it. The food was dealicious and the waitress was pleasent. I would’ve liked to have had my drink refilled when its empty but I assume you only get one refill because about halfway through my meal was the last time I had it refilled. (Only had it filled once)
I still left a 20% tip and paid for my meal.( although it should have been free. Im not the type of person to ask you to do what is right.)
Would I go again? Yes, but not for a few months. I don’t mind hair in my food and it was replaced. If I would’ve had it in my mouth and then noticed it, I would’ve put this restaurant on a dnr( do not return… not do not resuscitate- for all you nurse/ems people)
Would I recommend others? Yes, but I will share with them my experience.

Diner for locals, open 24 hours. Kids eat free all weekend. They have your staples of breakfast all day, burgers, pies, and dinner specials, all at reasonable prices. Just a good old non frills diner tucked away behind a small shopping strip.

i just ordered a tenderloin with hash browns, cottage cheese, and chilli cheese fries for delivery. i got a burger with mac and cheese on it that was terrible, a child’s portion of fries and warm cottage cheese. i spent over 25 dollars expecting enough food to fill me up and i recieved a disgusting pile of rubbish that wasnt even close to what i ordered. im all for supporting local businesses but this is rediculous. never again.

Personally, I love Zelmas!!! The country fried steak is AMAZING and theyre always really nice 🙂 i would really reccomend going and ordering that! Plus they have a country wall…. And the names really cool! And Im close and its open late!

3rd time I have attempted to order their chicken, the last 2 times they didn’t have enough. The time before that it was dry and over cooked, not mention it took 30 minutes longer than they said. Not what the restaurant used to be… SO SAD!!

Far cry from home cooked, a lot of pre prepared food of lower quality. The cook seemed to be preoccupied with his “street cred”. Sad….. Very sad. I remember when zelma actually ran the place.
