It’s a bar. That being said, do not think this is someplace that is built around food. Its atmosphere caters to an older crowd, with a relaxing and warm ambiance. They do serve food, and it’s good. But this is a bar, not a Michilen rated restaurant. You come here for fun, decent food, and drinks. Occasional live music. It’s just a fun place that’s not loaded down with college age kids. Leave your kids at home, and enjoy a night out in a place that’s well established here in San Marcos. You might even catch some old cars surrounding the place for an impromptu car show.

I got a frozen drink similar to a Pina Colada but with lime. It was ver refreshing! I didnt try any food if they serve it. It was a comfortable cozy place to chill n have a few drinks, listen to music, play pool, n sit n bs with buddies!

The best bar in town. You get a little bit of everything in one perfect spot. The owners are some of my favorite people – super personable and accommodating to the ever changing flow of the San Marcos Vibe. Daniel, Ashton, and Phil are my absolute favorite bartenders. DJ is the coolest door guy aside from Mat! I always feel at home here and will continue to support as long as doors are open. San Marcos Staple, stop on in!

Had my first visit today with some friends, upon arrival, one of the bartenders (short, brown hair woman) was incredibly rude. She started taking our order, but got impatient with us for no reason and decided to help the people behind us instead. I get it was busy but wow this kind of service was uncalled for. We were polite up until she avoided us again and kept speaking over us. We didn’t even stay to eat but the food others were eating looked good. Do not recommend coming here, there are better places with wonderful service.

I saw on the website that they have a Cilantro Jalapeno Margarita and really wanted to try it. So yesterday being National Margarita day, I just had to go try it. I was first surprised at how big it was on the inside. From the outside driving by it looks small. They have a beautiful patio area that wraps around the property. This place has great patio ambiance. I cannot wait to come back with some friends and show them how cool this place is. Here are some pictures of the Cilantro Jalapeno Margarita. They have a food truck that is parked outside and part of the place. You Order your food from the bar. I got the Bacon Blue Cheese Burger. The Food and Drink was fantastic. I highly recommend it.

I got all suited up for Tuesday night at Zelicks. I threw on my pythons and my Snake Farm t-shirt, wore my bite-proof gloves and brought my cobra basket. Upon arrival, I quickly realized that Tuesday night was actually STEAK night and not SNAKE night. At first, I was disappointed. But then, I sank my teeth into that juicy steak and everything was right in the world. And then, Erik Lowery gave me the best service I have had. in. my. life.

I’ve been to Zelicks many times, and I’ve always enjoyed the atmosphere. My husband and I just moved back to the area and recently had a baby. It’s a Monday night, at 8 pm, we walk from our house to Zelicks to get a drink after work and enjoy sitting outside. We were promptly and politely denied entry because we had a child. An 8 month old in a stroller. It’s super disheartening to see yet again another San Marcos establishment that isn’t family friendly, and only caters to college students. to that.
