Delicious authentic barbecue. I got the 3 meat plate and everything was perfect. The brisket was tender and the best I’ve had. The ribs are huge! It is a small older restaurant and you order at the counter so the atmosphere is what it is. Doesn’t matter because the food is so good!

The Mac and cheese was overcooked noodles and breadcrumbs with no cheese flavor. The green beans had a bad flavor. The meat was dry like it had been sitting under a heating lamp for days.

Today I was served by a young gentleman who I have the utmost respect for! His mannerisms from the phone to handing my food to me was excellent! I absolutely appreciate the service that was provided today, to include the food being better than ever! I’m not sure who was cooking today, but thank you as well!
Og: ** Please check your drinks prior to taking a sip!** I’m hoping this will bring attention to what seems like an ongoing issue. There is a heavy amount of debris in my drink from the machine. Employees are not taking the time to clean out the drink machines properly. This is the 3rd time I’ve had an issue with the drinks. I mentioned this the second time it happened nicely to the front counter.
On a positive note, the food is really great, I have not had any issues with bad food.
Thank you and I hope we can address this issue, would love to remove this bad review!

I visited Zeigler’s BBQ just now (12/23/25) expecting a much better meal experience, but the food was a major letdown. The Chopped Chicken and BBQ Chicken was incredibly dry and lacked the smoky flavor I was hoping for. To make matters worse, everything was barley warm except for the Fried Okra, the Mac and Cheese was especially bland and everything felt like it had been Sitting Out for quite some time. For the price, I expected much better quality. This was a horrible take out experience and I don’t plan on going back anytime soon.
The BBQ Chicken was so small that it was laughable. Do better Zeigler’s BBQ. Always a bad vibe every time we’ve been there too.

I was really disappointed with my recent visit to Zeigler’s. The chopped chicken tasted poor in quality, the bun seemed stale, and the mac and cheese was watery with very little cheese flavor. This place used to be reliable, but unfortunately the food quality has noticeably gone downhill.

The atmosphere is great here, super clean and very nice inside! The food was cooked very well and the staff were super nice. I had to take a star off due to all of the sugar used. It’s in all of the sauces, slaw and baked beans. It taste great at first but by the end all of the sugar just punched me in the face.
Granted, I don’t eat much sugar and that might be the reason. We will still come back again so don’t let the above hold you from here. It’s still a great place.

Kelly is the best! Always happy, friendly and remembers my mom is allergic to Styrofoam so her food goes on a metal plate. Food is wonderful! Pulled pork and Mac & cheese is my favorite.

edit: they connected with me very quickly after this and made it right just wanted to update my review
this is what 40$ worth of food gets you my grandmother and i placed an order over the phone for a plate and a pork salad i was told by the young girl on the phone to hurry and get there because they would be closing soon (over 45 mins before close) i rushed up there only to wait 20 minutes for my food (besides the point) i get home the pork is so dry and cold to the touch and i got nothing but skin and burnt brisket which isn’t cheap the mac and cheese was frozen literally solid and my grandma salad was entire pieces of lettuce (like someone just ripped a piece off an entire head of lettuce) and her pork on her salad was also extremely dry and cold neither of us even ate the food it was that bad and i didn’t receive the ranch that was suppose to be included nor did i even receive the one i paid extra for either i worked here in high school and they had such high standards this was my first time returning as a customer (5 years later) and i was extremely disappointed they are more focused on getting you out the door then ensuring you have quality food and a quality experience so not only has the quality of the food diminished so has the customer service so if you’re coming here expecting the same experience you experienced before i have very low hopes you’ll receive that

Clean restaurant and friendly staff. Today I tried the daily special. I liked the beans and the sausage, but I couldn’t get into the brisket. It looked great, but was super dry and had weird taste. I tried to cover it in sauce, but it didn’t really help. Maybe leftovers from yesterday and that’s why it was on special.. who knows. Just a guess. I lived in Memphis for the last 12 years and have had tons of excellent brisket. I’ll try again when not on special. Maybe just an off day as this place gets great reviews, or my taste buds are used to a different region.
