I have been a huge fan of Zoups for several years now. This last visit has made sure I will never be back.
I ordered a Chicken Toscana that was kinda passable. Next was the Cali Chicken. This was a joke!!! Three little pieces of chicken and a SPRINKLE of the roasted red peppers, invisible cheese (maybe a quarter of a slice), and NO mashed avocado (which I paid extra to get double of). I did request they not put the roasted jalapeno ranch on it.
I also ordered the Grilled Cheese Dippers. What I got was a plain grilled cheese sandwich and no cup of the “Classic Farmstead Tomato Soup” that was supposed to come with it. The only thing that was right about this order was the bowl of Lobster Bisque and that would be almost impossible to screw up since all you have to do is fill a bowl and put a lid on it.
So I basically paid $10.29 for a poorly grilled cheese sandwich. Then a total of $11.24 for a sandwich that a 3 year old would be asking for ‘more please ‘. And both items were missing items that were supposed to be there.
I called to express my dissatisfaction and guess what! The only person I could speak to was the person who made the order. She offered me a discount on my next order. REALLY??? And what would possibly give her any indication I would ever be back.
The soups here are really good but if you eat here please eat in house. A to go bag can hide a lot of evils.

The food was excellent, fresh, tasty and the restaurant was clean. My only negative comment is that I just ordered a small “cup” size soup, small “cowboy” salad bowl, and small tea that totaled $20. That’s a ghastly expensive price for a small lunch for one! I’d love to eat here daily, but not at that price!

Not busy at all. Should have been our first warning considering it was lunch time. Over charged for my wife’s order, which they corrected. They were out of crackers and bread for the soup. Unfortunately, my sandwich was SAD! Ordered a turkey bacon club. 2 thin slices of turkey and sparingly sprinkled with a few bacon bits. To much money for to little (a cup of soup and a 4” sandwich each for nearly $30.00). While it was good, it was not worth the price.

Neither “grilled cheese” order was grilled. It was bread with slightly melted cheese – looked like it had been melted in a microwave. Totally inedible. The Italian had so much dressing on it that the bun was soggy and fell apart. Again, inedible. The soup was just okay -barely warm. How much did we pay for this inedible meal? $58.
I contacted corporate and received an email reply within 48 hrs saying that the Mall Rd. location would be contacting me about a refund, however, I have not heard a word from Mall Rd. I contacted corporate again and never heard back. Very disappointing and a waste of money.

When Zoup opened up, we were hooked. Soup & salad has always been a go-to, easy meal for us. But I don’t know what has happened the last year or so. It has gone downhill SO fast and so horribly.
This past time we went was officially our last time. It’s been months since we’ve been but I really wanted just a simple dinner. I ordered online and my husband picked up. We didn’t open up the bag till about 7:45pm. We both had chosen the Try2 and one soup was missing as well as both breads. It was a bummer but we figured we’d just split the soup…until we saw the salad. There was a very visible live bug in the container. At this point, we couldn’t call till morning since they close at 7pm but there was NO WAY we were eating that food.
Fast forward to the next day, my husband called in hopes to get a refund. Thankfully the manager refunded us but then she just hung up.
So rude.
Again, such a shame because this used to be a great little place, but no one working there seems to care about decency, quality, or accuracy.
There’s plenty of places to eat in the Florence area- go anywhere else!!

I wish I could’ve taken a before pic, but this is my wife and I first time at zoup! And we both definitely enjoyed, the staff was helpful and very welcoming with taste test ready to serve. Definitely recommend this place to any foodie, great food & soup for great prices.
