Someone comes out and hands me box that wasn’t in a bag and that box wasn’t even closed.
He opened the box and no joke like it was out of a movie it was half eaten fries and sauce that was open and half of it eaten.
I was in disbelief and he looked at me and said will get you straight.
He’s goes inside so naturally I go in as well. Apparently this guy was either off the clock or a friend of someone that works there because he was talking to gentleman that took my order at the Drive-through.
The person that took my order asked if I got my wings and I told him what had happened and the person that first gave me a box of half eaten food that wasn’t even boneless wings said will get it straight for you.
I will never go back to my his place again. I would give them all 0s if i was able to. I ca. understand if they would have taken a long time to bring out my food or they bring out the wrong order or even food was cold however this is unacceptable and can’t go back to this place ever again.
When I addressed the issue, the excuse given was that someone new was in training and didn’t know the difference between the sandwiches. On top of that, the fries I received were cold. I specifically asked for fresh fries, but instead, I was given old fries that had been reheated.
This experience was very disappointing, and I hope steps are taken to ensure better service and quality moving forward.
Time: Around 5:15 PM
Location: Zaxby’s (where customer service still means something)
The moment I stepped through those doors, I was greeted by Mrs. Denise—and right then, I felt something rare: genuine warmth. Her smile didn’t feel like company policy; it felt like care.
Now, I’ll admit—I’m usually hesitant to spend money at fast food restaurants. Too often, the service is rushed, the food is cold, and the atmosphere feels like no one really cares. But this time… this time was different.
Before I even placed my order, I was standing there, almost in awe of the energy surrounding Ms. Denise. The restaurant itself radiated pride—it was spotless, smelled amazing, and felt inviting. It wasn’t just clean… it was cared for.
When I finally placed my order, Ms. Denise showed the kind of patience you don’t often find anymore. She offered helpful suggestions, never rushed me, and made the whole process effortless. I hadn’t even finished pouring my drink before my food was ready.
I hesitated—that was too fast, I thought. Surely it couldn’t be fresh. So I sat down, opened that signature black Zaxby’s plate, and picked up the biggest chicken tender I could find.
The moment I bit in, it burned my lip—because it was that hot and that fresh.
And right then, it felt like one of those moments when the rain stops, and a rainbow quietly stretches across the sky. I just sat there thinking, “Finally.”
Finally—fresh, hot, fast food served with superb customer service.
I looked back at Ms. Denise and asked if she was the manager on duty.
With humble pride, she said, “I’m one of the managers.”
I told her exactly what I’ll tell anyone reading this:
Mrs. Denise, you are doing an outstanding job.
Your kindness, your attention to detail, your pride in your work, and the cleanliness of that restaurant reflect something the world needs more of—care.
Because of you, Mrs. Denise, this Zaxby’s isn’t just another fast food restaurant.
It’s a reminder that great service still exists, and it starts with great people.
Thank you for making a simple meal something unforgettable.
I’m assuming corporate has control of the thermostat bc it’s as cold as a walk-in cooler in the store. It’s getting cold out y’all, update them thermostats.
I had a special request that was complicated and unusual and they were super patient and my food was out of this world! I love coming to this location!
