I had the surf and turf which consisted of three chicken tenders and seven pieces of shrimp with some fries and a drink. It came to $14.37 which just seems high for a fast food restaurant. The food was okay, it just wasn’t spectacular or anything to talk about.

Today 1/12/26: Placed an order online. Had to wait 10 minutes for it because they had just received it. That was fine, I don’t mind waiting for fresh food. They brought the order to the car with luke warm fries and the cheese bites were very dark in color. I believe they were dropped in oil a second time. Nibblers were not fixed with sauce noted on the order. Disappointing

I came in to order dinner, and I should have known from the start. The young girl at the front stood with her arms folded just looking around for a bit. When I finally gave her the “what are you doing” look, she decided to step to the register and take our order. My second sign should have been her inability to grasp the concept of putting the cole slaw in a separate container. I finally had to settle for double fries, no slaw because she couldn’t understand what I was asking, and I didn’t want to be mean. I should have just been mean. We sat there for more than 10 minutes, while she stood there, arms folded, watching several orders go out the drive-thru. She was absent any personality until I asked her to check on my order. That’s when she got a defensive tone, told me that Door Dash orders come first, and they only had one cook (even though I could see the crew in the back ♀️). She turned her back to me, pointed over her shoulder at me to her drive-thru peer, and began whispering. Then the two of them stood staring at me and snickering while I checked my order for accuracy with my requests, but I should have counted my fingers (my plate was short). I will be contacting the manager and corporate offices tomorrow.

Put an online order in for a few things that said it would be ready by 10:16pm. The store hours posted clearly say they close at 10:30pm. I pull to the drive thru to be told that they are closed and employees leaving before the stores posted hours.
I have not had this issue anywhere else. I also have been employed at a different location and this was never allowed unless it was under certain circumstances from management or corporate. Also there is no option on the app to request a refund. Since no one is in the store I cannot even call to ask for one. Calling the next day does not bother me, but ignoring an order to close early before store hours shouldn’t be something that ever happens.

I paid $12 for this? Come on Batesburg Zaxbys. Do better! They just threw a few chicken strips over the fries and didn’t even cover most of the fries with seasoning or sauce.

If you don’t check behind the staff, the orders are NEVER right. I’m not talking about little details like no sauce or giving the wrong sauces, I’m talking about not giving you whole meals in your order. Or tonight for example. I had two of my meals missing and a gallon of sweet tea too. Along with utensils, napkins, sauces as well. I said something to the staff as politely as humanly possible (I’ve worked as a waitress for years, and my first legal aged job was actually at Zaxby’s. I get it the job sucks) but the staff acted like I horribly inconvenienced them asking for the missing parts of my order. To make matters worse, the gallon of tea spilled in my car because it was not sealed properly. Beyond that, the cooks don’t give a fig about the preparation of the food either. Sandwiches for two of my meals were smashed flat, my son’s meal was missing his coleslaw and as you can see, the kickin’ chicken sandwich is the furthest thing from kicking. Without sauce it isn’t what I ordered. I’m tired of having a less than mediocre experience at a restaurant that’s supposed to have higher standards than McDonalds…but doesn’t. It’ll be a long time before my family returns for a meal. Paying good money for food to have attitude thrown at you despite being as polite as can be…it just isn’t worth it. I’d rather go to McDonald’s….and I hate McDonald’s.

Food is always good and I can’t judge the service given it was overtaken with high schoolers so service was as good as could be expected.

The food was not as advertised at all. We went through the drive thru when we got home we’re disappointed. I’ve in a chicken nugget that had more meat on it than my chipotle ranch chicken tacos. I asked for no tomato and it was full of tomatoes my wife asked for no lettuce which was ok but all they put on it was chicken and not much of it. ZAXBY’S has lost our business.

Our food was tasty, they switched out our sauces for other ones no problem.
