Hands down the best flour tortillas we’ve had since moving here from San Antonio. We’ve been here a couple of times, everything has been great. Prices are reasonable for the portions as well. The only downside is that they get very crowded, but that should tell you something 🙂

Came here on a Saturday, believe me this place is home style cooking! Tortillas are made like mi abuela use to make them. Barbacoa plate with eggs, papas and frijoles. Was awesome! Defenetly will come back to this restaurant and highly recommend! By the way I was just passing by!

my husband ordered the menudo and he said the menudo was super oily/greasy and it tasted a bit burnt. couldn’t eat it. he ended up eating off my plate. but overall my plate was delicious!! waitress was really nice and checked in on us frequently. service was excellent. even though the menudo wasn’t his favorite, we will continue being customers.

The menudo was mediocre, too much hominy and very little meat. The potato and egg tacos were not appealing as they were separated. They have a sign on the door that says price of egg orders has increased, yet I had all potato and very little egg. At least give me what I’m paying for lol.

Placed my order over the phone. The girl said it would be ready in 10 min. 15 min later at arrival. They said they weren’t ready. Waited 7 more minute and they said they didn’t have an order. I showed the girl my phone call, and she just said oh. Would you like to place an order? I said no because I had to go to work. I even ran late because of them. Will not go here again
Since this incident Zapata’s service has improved drastically. I am very satisfied with giving this business another shot. The food is great and the service is great. I would recommend.

Best Picadillo Taco Ever! The barbacoa was epic too! Staff was so friendly and welcoming. A cute little gem tucked away on Taylor that has some amazing food!

I ordered the quesadilla plate and was blown away by how yummy the flour tortillas are! You can’t get tortillas that taste this good back in Houston! Plus the customer service was off the charts, the young server lady kindly warned me not to touch my eyes once I start eating the orange salsa !

You want real food, eat local. Eating at these local not helps the business but you get better food, higher quality of food. These breakfast tacos are Mexican Americans eat growing up at home and at these kind of local restaurants.
The tortillas are hand made, and that is important for breakfast tacos it adds to the flavor. It’s not the prettiest restaurant but that shouldn’t matter. The food is the main priority.
Another reason to stop in to eat, it’s cheaper.

Good, authentic Tex Mex in Taylor. It’s not fancy, and can be easy to miss with its unassuming exterior, but the food has been hot and delicious on my multiple visits there.
