Decent but not extraordinary. We went due to the convenient location from where we were, but was not expecting to pay top tier prices for average tex-mex. Fortunately the bartender made decent drinks. The service was adequate, and the flavor of the food was okay, but nothing made the place feel special. Prices were higher than usual for the same food elsewhere.

Thanks Daniella for your impeccable service! Zapata’s was the perfect place for an authentic Mexican meal. I was a bit overwhelmed by the options, and decided to choose the trio, which allowed me to enjoy a burrito, enchilada and a taco, all for just $17.
Daniella was quick with bringing everything out, checked on me and my colleague regularly and never let us wonder where our service was. We ended up spending a solid hour and a half just talking, and never did I once feel like I was overstaying my welcome.
These are the types of experiences that make a restaurant a “go-to” spot. Will definitely be bringing more friends back and I hope we get Daniella again!

Really friendly staff with great service! Great, HOT food and great views of the water! 10/10 experience the birria tacos were amazing! Some of the best I’ve had and the ace was a large portion and really good as well

This restaurant holds a special place in my heart because my husband and I have had great date nights here over the years. For health reasons we no longer dine indoors, so we opt for patio seating. Recently we had family in town and wanted to eat here, specifically on the patio and called ahead to make sure it was open. We were told it was. Upon arrival the waitress was ready to seat us on the patio and a man, assuming the manager, quickly came over and declined our patio seating and said the patio was closed because of the weather. It was sunny and not bad weather…and we were told maybe 30 minutes prior that it was open…We ended up going to another nearby restaurant to enjoy a patio dining experience.
A few months later my husband and I wanted to take advantage of the good weather and dine on the patio here. We called ahead to make sure the patio was open. Whoever answered the phone said the patio was open depending on the weather, but wouldn’t confirm if their patio was open or not for us to dine..we opted not to go here and waste our time again and again dined elsewhere.

I’ve been in a few times and have always been very satisfied. Between the tacos , quesadillas, and fajitas I’ve ordered, I’ve always thought they had great flavor and texture.
I absolutely love the chips and salsa!!
On the date of this review, I came in on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty empty, much to my surprise. I received fantastic service and my Quesadilla Steak Brava was excellent. The staff was great on checking In on me and making sure I had enough Salsa (I was devouring it bowl by bowl).
I didn’t catch their name but the manager on shift was checking in on each table as he walked around the floor and helping servers.
I have been there on weekend evenings and received just as much attention by the staff which is reassuring.
Zapatas will be my go to Mexican restaurant for the foreseeable future!!

After visiting so many Mexican restaurants across the US, I realized all the menus and dishes revolve around the same few options, so at the end of the day it comes down to how they execute these dishes, their pricing, and lastly the atmosphere and quality of service.
Pricing was reasonable, service was good, but the atmosphere wasn’t great. We were a party of six and they sent us downstairs which had the basement feeling although they had empty tables upstairs and we asked them to sit upstairs.
Besides that no complains. Decent experience overall

The food was decent, but the service was horrible. We waited for our drinks to be refilled forever. We were not checked on to see if we needed anything during that time as well. There are plenty of other attentive restaurants in the area to choose from. We wouldn’t return here again.
