Fast & professional service; gluten free chips for chips & queso blanco (or nacho cheese)! Menu is what I would expect for a Mexican restaurant.

The fiesta corn was over cooked but maybe that’s just personal preference.

Chicken burrito was great along with the kids French fries.

Very very hot in there! We are all skinny and were all sweating. They delivered our food after 40 minutes of waiting, and the guy didn’t even stop by once to fill our waters. Very poor customer service, but the flavor was great on the chicken chimichanga. The portion sizes are small though!! Wouldn’t recommend splitting.

I don’t know what is going on with the food here but the last three times I have been here the food has only gotten worse and worse. It use to be much better. Service is good but the food quality is definitely lacking. The meat has no flavor and os often over cooked.

We were seated immediately. The server was pleasant and asked questions. This establishment has plenty of seating, including a large patio area. We ordered a fajita salad with chicken and fajitas with beef and beans. Chips and salsa are provided. Salsa seemed bland to one of us while the other said, “There is a kick.” I’ve only known fajitas to come out on sizzling cast iron skillet. There was no sizzle because they were served on a regular plate. The food was hot, but the plate was warm. The refried beans were more whole beans, not what we’re used to. I did not use any salt, but beans were salty. There is plenty of parking on the patio side.

I’m not familiar with New Mexico style but this was fantastic. I got the cheese enchiladas with roja and verde sauces. Also a beef tamale ‘Christmas style’. Red, green & white sauces. Full of deep flavors. The homemade beans and rice delicious too. I could actually taste the tequila in my top shelf margarita. Not full of sour mix like most. Flavorful salsa for the chips. Nice heat without being too mild or spicy.
Service was friendly and fast. I wish I could spell her name. Starts with an R.
Great experience at Zapata in Cody and would highly recommend!

I loved this place! I’ve been living here for almost 2 years now and never tried it out. My boyfriend drug me here and I thoroughly enjoyed everything that was brought to me today. My server was such an amazing person and was constantly checking in on us. I loved everything today.

On vacation so lots of restaurants in the rear view. Came into Cody and zapata’s came into view. Nice folks and atmosphere combo with fair prices made our experience wonderful. Menu wasn’t your typical Mexican food but not disappointing! I opted for the street corn and beans to accompany one of the best rellenoes I’ve ever had , made with a hatch chilli that must have been slightly pickled because it was slightly tart which I thought was a nice touch! Terrific salsa was also served…..no regrets giving my best recommendations out , cheers

Zapata’s had always been one of our favorite restaurants when visiting Cody however, while the portions are of good size it seems over the last few years the food has become much less tasty than it once was. The shredded beef in the Chimichanga and pork added to the Chili Relleno was extremely bland, so much so that the green chili sauce didn’t come close to making the dishes any more palatable. Their corn tasted like it was overloaded with chili powder. Food came out quick once our order was taken but the rest of the service was rather slow from being seated through getting the check. Unfortunately because the food quality has continued to progressively drop throughout our visits, Zapata’s will not be consider by us a a restaurant of choice when visiting Cody.

The food was really good we had a party of seven. We had four kids and three adults we a grand total of 119$. This place was definitely family friendly and our server MARTHA was an absolute star, she helped us find what we should try and even sang my brother happy birthday. I was not a fan of of the rice or beans but everything else was great. Let’s just say their salsa and queso was delicious!!!
