The food was very bland. It was edible but not memorable at all. You can tell by looking at it that it is going to be very underwhelming. I had a shawarma wrap. The pita was too tough, the vegetables were flavorless and scant, and the chicken was under seasoned. My wife got a bowl of some sort and was equally unimpressed.

Food was great but i was not given the same option that i saw on online delivery apps like uber or DoorDash. I ordered chicken tarna plate that comes with 2 pita, pickles & tomatoes and 3 sides. I was told that the pickles were considered 1 side and was allowed to choose only 2 other sides. And the online apps give option to choose 2 dips but in store they gave me option to choose only 1 dip. Not ordering in store anymore.

The chicken here is great. If you were visiting the original Hollywood location in the late 1980s, the taste of their rotisserie chicken remains the same. Always fresh and juicy. Never dry. Served with toum, pita bread, pickled turnips, and chili.
I ask for it well done. They do also have shawerma (tri tip and chicken), chicken and beef kebabs. The roast rotisserie chicken is their signature menu item.

Generous portions. Delicious food. I enjoyed the “family” chicken meal with hummus, tabbouleh, and cucumber salad, and it was plenty for my family of 5 adults. Food came out quickly. Will definitely return next time I’m in the area.

Zankou Chicken in Thousand Oaks has rotisserie chicken, wraps, kabobs, salads and now bowls that look really good. had the half chicken and it was great. I was looking for something healthy after the holidays. I saw a guy eating a bowl and I wanted that. Next time. Very pet friendly. A little cold right now but it will warm up.

It was a little slow, but we ordered a bunch of food. Zankou never disappoints, the side bbq wings are super good, and the garlic sauce is great. I’ve been to a few of this chain, and they never disappoint. Grilled kabobs take 20 mins and are made to order.

It was my first time visiting this Zankou location (I’m usually a fan of their food), but this branch was new to me—and unfortunately, so was the taste. The shish and lule kabobs had a very leathery texture and lacked flavor. All four of us felt the same, and it wasn’t comparable to the other Zankou branches we’ve had recently.

Delivery review
Definitely not the most authentic middle eastern food by any means. Plain white rice, interesting tasting falafel. The sauces are tiny. The cabbage salad that cost $5 was so tiny and not good. Won’t be back

Food is terrible. Tomatoes are old. Tri tip had some weird white stuff on it that I’ve never seen at any other Zanku. Not consistent with other restaurants I’ve eaten at and enjoy.

Used to frequent a few of these in the LA area back in the day. This one is very comparable. The chicken shawarma is really good, along with the sauces. Not sure why all the bad reviews. I still love this place!
