Atmosphere 5* (you won’t if you don’t like live DJ spins …lounge style ) th food is quite good…. When not forgotten, when not served out of order , and when it arrives ! Seriously service is really a failure : waiters and staff are genuine and well meaning , but got the impression of burn out , understaffing and lack of managerial assistance (if there is any ) ! Got conversation with neighboring tables patrons : same comments , same disappointment … too many mistakes even with closing checks ! That’s unfortunate , but I recommend the restaurant , and yes we would return back , would recommend with warning about what to expect ! Zama , you can do better

Beautiful venue. Salmon Taquitos, Poke Salad and Braised Short Rib w/ Mushroom Risotto (entree recommended by Davide…the best host) All ordered, were flavorful. Atmosphere topped with music and sparklers galore with 2 gifted shots and a sparkler coffee cake (oops no pic w/ sparkler that fizzled out) which completed my Bday evening! Lovely. Grazie.

We had the best time! The vibe was the perfect mix of upscale and fun. We ordered the tropical roll, scallops, and lava cake, all phenomenal. Their happy hour drinks were on point too. Huge shoutout to our server, Alex, who was absolutely amazing. He was super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better!

There was a mix-up with the group reservation pre-fixed menu we had signed a contract for but Alex (our server) was quick to make things better for our bachelorette party! He was very kind and attentive the entire dinner. The food was 10/10 (except the filet mignon, a little bland compared to everything else we were served), and so was the atmosphere. Come here for the vibe if you like a little more energy than a boring fancy sit down!

Tried the Zama roll, which had mushroom and shrimp tempura, and such. The texture was very impressive. And the salmon in between made it taste smooth. The short rib with mushroom risotto was such a fire. It was so tender and flavorful. The salmon with mashed potatoes was pretty decent as well but not as impressive

Zama was so cute! The ambiance was alive and fun. They have exciting moments when they bring out sparklers and it really brightens up your night. Our server Jesus was so helpful with the menu and such a kind person. Big plus, he’s also bilingual. Overall had a cute time here celebrating with my girls. Would come here again!

I walked by the restaurant and was intrigued by the menu. I am so glad I stopped in. The Lamb lollipops were divine. The Agua Chile was the perfect heat level and you got many shrimp to go with it. The Bison burger was delectable . David is fantastic and very attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu.

Fantastic ambiance. Shout out to Jesus who gave great menu recommendations and was attentive. Service was on point. The lamb lollipops are phenomenal, perfect size for a light meal or appetizer with a date. The filet was perfectly cooked and one of the best I’ve had. Have to give another shout out for the decor—great vibes all around. Will definitely be back next time I’m in San Diego.
