Came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday dinner, and it was such a great choice! The atmosphere was amazing and perfect for conversation. The lighting is a bit dim, but it really suits the vibe of the place. Every dish was delicious — from the bread to the main course, everything was so satisfying. The pasta was especially outstanding. Highly recommend! The pizza, salad, and small plates were all fantastic too. Reservation preferred. The only downside is that parking is quite difficult, and valet costs $16.

Wow, a very nice restaurant with a bar. Great selection on the menu, but we went for pizza this time. I’ve had many pizzas in different countries, and until now the best one was at Piz in Italy — but I’ve found a new favorite. I ordered the Bacon & Honey pizza, and it was absolutely amazing — perfectly baked and heavenly in taste. I truly recommend this place.

We had excellent service at Osteria La Buca, reservations were made and fulfilled promptly and professionally. Table servers were on point – checked in, brought what we requested, food served particularly hot (don’t dive in too quick or you will burn your mouth!). It’s a loud bustling place and you are seated quite close to those next to you, but it’s got good energy.

Food – I wish it was the best I had ever tasted, but it was good and solid and the pasta may have even been made in house?? But the sauces were not as good as I had anticipated. We had carbonara and the pork/beef bolognese sauce. Both completely edible, but not WOW. The brussel sprout appetizer was very good. The sliced bread in the bags was good. The salted caramel pudding – meh, tasted burnt – we ate it, don’t get me wrong – but I would not order again. Cocktails were tasty. Would we go back, sure!

Great Italian food in Ktown. The atmosphere, service and complimentary rosemary bread really add to the experience. Sat at the bar for dinner and the crowd was constant and lively. Pizza was great but the pasta really stood out.

An authentic atmosphere—yes, if you’re lucky enough to end up on the ground floor. You can truly feel the spirit of an Italian osteria there. But if fate decides otherwise and you’re sent to the second floor, prepare yourself for a “culinary reality show”: tiled walls, refrigerators, sinks, kneading machines, and ovens create a special “industrial charm.” Almost like dining in a kitchen, only without the chef’s invitation.

The appetizers are excellent, no complaints there. But the “steak”… Why in quotation marks? Because I can’t bring myself to call it a steak. A few sliced, tasteless, and unsightly pieces of meat for $45—the most pointless $45 I’ve ever spent.

Overall, this place has potential. Just make sure to book a table on the ground floor and avoid the “steak” section.

We recently visited Los Angeles for the first time, and one of our friends insisted we check out Osteria La Buca, and wow, we are so glad we did!
The food was absolutely outstanding. The short rib ravioli and the bucatini carbonara are easily the best pasta dishes we’ve ever had. It was so delicious that we returned 2 nights later to have those two dishes as our last meals in LA! We still talk about those dishes to this day!
The service was just as memorable. The entire staff was attentive and warm, and the manager, Matt, went out of his way to make sure we felt welcome and taken care of. His hospitality really elevated the entire experience.
The ambiance was perfect, cozy and very intimate.
Osteria La Buca made such an impression on us that it’s now at the top of our list whenever we return to LA. Truly a gem!

Tonight was our holiday dinner for my work. I don’t know the name of our waitress, but she was so wonderful. I’m a Vegetarian and she made sure to make me whatever I needed. Even without asking, she was right there to make sure that I was happy and that the whole table was enjoying their time. I wanted to give her five stars because she deserves it! Also, the food was excellent. So so, so good!

Walked in in a Saturday night and was able to sit at the side bar for an amazing meal! We got artichokes, burrata salad and cacio e Pepe with some fantastic wine. Will definitely be back.
