Came here with some friends and had a really good feed! The chicken curry was spot on, and the veggie salad and other dishes were pretty tasty too. Everything was so good we ended up having extra rice. Definitely recommend if you’re after some solid Indian food!

Zaika is a superb Indian restaurant on the highway right opposite Roseville station.
The space has been done up in a bright, modern fashion, and while the classic dishes are on the menu, the presentation and cooking lift this to another level.
The banquet is a great way to taste the mix of the classics and their original spin on Indian dishes, and the servings are massive, way too much for us to eat.
Service was friendly and helpful, especially with our requests for gluten free meals.
There’s a small but decent range of beers and wine, and some interesting non alcoholic suggestions too.
A great find and one of the best Indian meals we’ve tried.

Good food and friendly service. Butter chicken was sweet although a little dry. Beef biryani was nice. Mango lassi was a bit too thick though. Came on a Saturday and it was a full house. Although it did take an hour for food to arrive , staff did give us a heads up after we ordered that service would be a little slow.

Always on the hunt for new restaurants so I had no hesitation in trying Zaika out. We coincidentally went during Diwali so they were a little short staffed. Irrespective of that, we had a great experience there. The food was tasty and nicely presented. The degree of spice was clearly catered to a western crowd. We ordered everything medium spicy, but was closer to mild. So if you like spicy, ask for hot.

I am a regular customer here and usually really enjoy the food, which is why I feel disappointed writing this review. Unfortunately, yesterday’s experience was not good.
I ordered a samosa, but it felt like most of the ingredients were missing. Then I ordered coconut chicken curry and specifically asked for medium to high spice, but it tasted sweet instead. The chicken was supposed to be boneless, yet there were small bones in it, which I showed to the staff.
I also feel the staff need better training. Before placing the order, I asked how the dish would taste, but the staff member had no idea and had to go inside to ask the chef.
Another suggestion: please give customers some personal space. Being asked every few minutes how everything is going feels forced and interrupts the dining experience.
I’ve had many good experiences here in the past, which makes yesterday’s visit particularly disappointing. I hope this feedback helps improve consistency and service.

It was on our list for a long time and we were avoiding it because of it being on the main pacific Highway. Wasn’t sure about the parking availability as well.
Anyway we tried it last night. Parking was a bit hard to find at 7 pm Saturday. But it was worth it.
The staff was very nice and accommodating.
Everything we had was amazing… delicious flavours and authentic taste. So many options for vegetarians, everything we tried had a different taste not like other places where all curries taste the same. Achari paneer and cauliflower bazule as starters were full of flavours but not hot. For mains we had kofta and mix veg along with paneer takatak. Mix veg was the best. Paneer soft and kofta was above average not great! Nans were soft and paratha was good. Beetroot raita was a bit different take but a bit small in size. For dessert we tried lychee kulfi and gajar halwa. Halwa was better than other places and kulfi okay.
Will be back for sure to try other delicacies!

Place was packed but the staff stepped up and supported the chef who deliver a good curry meal. We were worried about the wait but they exceeded our expectation. The dessert (gifted) was 10/10 – we will be back

Mains were chicken with fenugreek and mushroom, potato dumplings in cashew sauce, paired with cheese and garlic naan (the bomb!). Dessert was warm and comforting carrot with milk and cardamom. We all had the Non Veg Banquet at $55 per head. Each of the dishes was a flavour delight. The portions seemed a bit small initially especially when it’s 3 guys who know how to eat. In fact one of our party complained about the size of a dish. It was no problem, as another larger portion was soon delivered. Overall we were full to the brim. The staff were all lovely and efficient.
