Absolutely loved it here! My husband and I were hungry from our drive from NYC and came across this place! What a great find and we definitely will be going back here even if it’s just to go get food. The meat selection is amazing! Melt in your mouth deliciousness no sauces necessary. Service was excellent and I’ve seen reviews that say you have to wait long for food i mean if you’re not get apps to munch on I guess but there’s nothing to complain about because you’re getting freshly made food and it’s worth the wait!! Prices aren’t too bad due to the times we’re currently in but you get a lot of food too. I definitely recommend this place if you want some good grilled meat and the Persian coffee amazing! And try the Pomegranate Blossom and Persian Mint Lemonade if you like tart and not to sweet drinks these are great options and go well with the food! And the PersianIce cream Sandwiches great not too sweet also.

From the moment you walk in, you’re treated like family. The portions are generous, the flavors are bold and delicious, and the service was incredible. We tried the mint lemonade and it was very refreshing. We ordered the dips trio for an appetizer and demolished it, along with the marinated olives. For the main, we ordered the second combo platter with the saffron rice with barberries and Shirazi salad and the meats were tender and flavorful, and the rice was cooked perfectly and had a bold and yummy flavor. After buying enough food for a small family (just me and my partner), they even gave us a free Persian cream puff to try that was so tasty we had to buy them out.

This charming eatery is unassuming. At first glance of the menu, you think they are overpriced, but no! Off you get the double kebab specials, like the soltani and the dip trio, you still leave with enough leftovers to have lunch and dinner the next day. This is homemade Iranian food with the care and love you would expect if your Iranian mother made it! I’m not Persian, but this place made me feel like I wish I were. Definitely give this place a shot of you’re in the area.

Zaffron Bloom is truly a hidden gem! This family-owned Persian restaurant in NJ made me feel like part of their family from the moment I walked in. The service was exceptional — attentive, kind, and genuinely caring.

I started with the cucumber mint limonada, which was incredibly refreshing. Their signature tahdig was crispy, flavorful, and still warm when it arrived — absolute perfection. The hummus and eggplant dip were both seasoned so well. I also had the cheese cigars, which were fresh, perfectly crispy, and absolutely delicious.

For the main course, I tried the chicken kebab and the lamb/beef kebab, both seasoned to perfection and paired with fragrant, flavorful rice. And to end on a sweet note, the pistachio baklava was the perfect finale — light, nutty, and complimented the main course so well.

It’s so clear that every dish is made with love, passion, and care. Between the warm ambiance, thoughtful service, and incredible food, Zaffron Bloom made for a perfect lunch — and I can’t wait to come back!

Cozy eatery with friendly service and delicious food. You can taste the exotic spices and fresh ingredients in every dish. Portions were big enough to share. Unfortunately, we were too full from our meal to try any desserts. I guess It just gives us an excuse to go back.

We were on a short visit to the US and craving authentic Persian food. After reading strong recommendations, we made a detour to Zaffron Bloom before heading into Manhattan—and it turned out to be an excellent choice.

We started with kashke bademjan, a warm eggplant dip topped with caramelized onions, dried mint, and tangy kashk. The silky eggplant had a deep roasted flavor, perfectly balanced by the bright, slightly sour whey sauce and the gentle crunch of fried onions. It paired beautifully with the soft, warm pita bread.

The tahdig with ghormeh sabzi was a standout—a golden, crispy rice crust layered with the rich, herb-packed Persian stew of slow-cooked beef, kidney beans, parsley, cilantro, fenugreek, and dried lime. The contrast of textures—the crunch of tahdig against the tender meat and greens—was pure comfort food.

For a refreshing counterpoint, the mast-o-khiar brought thick, creamy yogurt with diced cucumber and dried mint. Its cool, tangy profile made it the perfect palate cleanser between richer bites.

The salad olivieh—a Persian chicken and potato salad with peas, carrots, pickles, and a mayonnaise-based dressing—was hearty yet bright, with the pickles adding a welcome tang to cut through the creaminess.

For mains, we enjoyed two classics. The chicken kebab platter featured juicy saffron-marinated chicken cubes with fluffy basmati rice streaked in vibrant saffron, plus a smoky charred tomato. The koobideh kebab platter delivered a perfectly seasoned ground beef skewer—tender, flavorful, and just smoky enough—served with the same saffron rice and grilled tomato. Both came with a garden sumac salad, a crisp mix of lettuce, tomato, and onion tossed with tangy sumac for freshness and balance.

We sat outside in perfect summer weather, which made the experience even more memorable. Every dish was flavorful, portions were generous, and service was warm. This was a detour we were very glad we made—Zaffron Bloom truly delivers authentic Persian taste.

Zaffron Bloom has become a monthly spot for us. Chef Shahin and her husband are warm and welcoming. The kebab koobideh is always fresh, juicy and flavorful, just the perfect amount of saltiness. My daughter subbed her Zaffron rice with zereshk polo and that was delicious too! We are already looking forward to our visit in December!

This restaurant is truly exceptional! The food, the service, everything is outstanding. Ana is a gem who brings so much warmth to the experience, and her desserts and drinks are next-level. You have to try her fresh watermelon mint drink and cherry sundae with pashmak, SO good! The kashke bademjoon is to die for and the zereshk polo is just pure perfection. Every dish they make is packed with flavor, and the meats are unbelievably tender and juicy.

What makes this place even more special is that it’s 100% family-run and you can genuinely taste the love in every bite. If you’re lucky enough to live nearby (we happily make the drive in from Jersey City), and haven’t stopped in yet, do yourself a favor and go. You’ll only wish you had discovered it sooner. Zaffron Bloom is a true gem in every way.

A Hidden Gem with Heart and Flavor!

Had a wonderful experience at this charming, family-run restaurant. It felt like I was eating at a neighbor’s home — the warmth and hospitality were genuine and heartfelt. The entire restaurant is run by a mother-daughter duo, and you can truly taste the love and authenticity in every dish. The mom does all the cooking, and the daughter, who was our hostess, was so gracious and welcoming.

As a vegetarian, I was delighted with the flavorful options. We originally went for the Persian rice (which was fantastic!), but I recommend going with a group of four or more so you can sample a variety of dishes — everything we tried was delicious!

The tea was exceptional, and they went out of their way to accommodate our needs. It’s rare to find places like this anymore — true mom-and-pop restaurants serving real, home-cooked meals. A must-visit spot! Let’s support them and make sure they stay in business!
