I’ve been twice. Very good quality BBQ, especially for CT. The staff are friendly. I think an extra $4 for brisket or ribs is a little steep. Otherwise, the prices are fair. There is ample parking on the side of the street. The portions are larger than other BBQ places around here. They offered pickled onions or jalapenos for $1 when I went. Outdoor seating available. I don’t think there’s ever much traffic on the road, so it’s probably pleasant on a nice day. Two meats and two sides was $27 after tax. Highly recommend. This is a hidden gem. We were riding bikes on the Sue Grossman Still River Greenway. The restaurant has outdoor tables and chairs in the back that are right next to the greenway. We locked up our bikes to the fence there and went in to order. We both had a pulled pork sandwich. It was outstanding! The sides were all delicious, especially the beans. We also had potato salad and coleslaw.

Just passing by and decided to stop. Im happy I made that decision to stop. Service was good food was great and there barbecue sauce paired well with food. I got the 2 meat 2 sides and it was pulled chicken and smoke sausage with Mac and cheese and corn bread. I would tell people to come by and sit. They also have outside seating. They are closed for the colder winter months I believe ends October 5 and open from March on. But if you get a chance check them out.

We had stumbled upon this place while we were out taking a drive . I’m so very glad we did. Everything is absolutely amazing especially the mac and cheese i love the fact that they use shells instead of elbows. The pork belly burnt ends yummy! Absolutely will be going here again and again.

Had a very nice bbq lunch with my cousin this month.
We split a two meat combination of brisket and pulled pork. Sides were potato salad and mac and cheese. Their meat selection was limited late afternoon on a Saturday and they were out of a few options.
We sat down by the window and dug in.
The potato salad was delicious, highly recommend. Creamy, flavorful with a nice hint of herbs. The Mac and cheese was also very good and was homemade. The pulled pork was very tasty although not very smokey. It was very tender and was the winner of the meats. The brisket was also tender but lacked a ton of flavor and smoke. As I see brisket as a bbq spots crowned jewel and a measure of their craft, there’s room for improvement here.
The atmosphere was fine. Some tables inside and out with limited flare but we sat comfortably. Our service was good and the staff was friendly.
Almost forgot, The spicy bbq sauce was outstanding and worth trying.
I’d return and would recommend swinging in. Hope these guys continue to operate and wish them well,

Food was absolutely delicious. Got the ribs, brisket and chicken leg/thighs + BBQ beans, Mac n cheese and cornbread. All were finger licking good. Service was very friendly and accommodating. Sat indoors but outdoor seating is also available for nice weather days.

So glad there is a BBQ place close to where I work. Spoke with the owner last week for a while about how he spend many hours developing the perfect cornbread and mac and cheese. So obviously I had to get both today. I loved the cornbread it was soft, had some sweetness to it also and not dry at all, the mac and cheese was tasty and very very flavorful it just was a little dry to me, maybe if it was a little more runny or gooey it would be perfect for me.For meats I got brisket and pulled pork which were both great! The brisket had a nice peppery flavor with a great smoke ring on the edges and the pulled pork was not dry or to wet,both highly recommended.

Wow! What a great find. I love BBQ but am usually disappointed with CT joints. Not this place. Real BBQ. Place is clean. Nicely decorated- even the bathroom. Smoker sits outside. Guy behind the counter was great-knew his stuff (Spencer). I got my two favorites: Brisket and St Louis Ribs with slaw and cornbread. The ribs were perfect. Meaty, flavorful- no need for sauce. The Brisket same: nice crust, not fatty, lots of smoke. The sauce was nicely spicy and only used a little bit on the brisket. Slaw was fresh and just right vinegar.

This place is a gem! I ordered a brisket sandwich and my hubby got the pulled pork sandwich, came with cold slaw and we ordered bake beans and potato salad. Everything was mouthwatering and delicious, meat melts right in your mouth, flavors were amazing!! Service was friendly and welcoming.
