I ate here several months ago (less than a year) and recently came across these photos on my phone, so I wanted to finally leave a review.
Zaab Thai has been around for over 20 years and is one of the earlier Thai restaurants in the Chicago area. The food is bold, traditional, and full of authentic Thai flavors.
Recommended dishes: grilled pork neck, grilled beef, larb, traditional Thai soups, and coconut ice cream.

Wow! This place is amazing! Authentic flavors and so tasty. I got the pad Thai and I ordered it extra spicy. It actually is very spicy and I Really appreciated that! I can’t remember what my partner got, but he also really liked it. I also ordered a Thai iced tea, which was so yummy. The place itself is very clean and has great service. Highly recommend, very fair pricing.

My wife and I love Thai food, and had been meaning to check out ZAAB Thai for a while- it was really fantastic. Nice to see such a great menu of various options- many of which we haven’t seen before at other places.
The food was delicious, the portions generous, and the prices more than than fair. Service was also stellar.

We ordered several items and they were delicious and authentic. First, spicy kha-moo soup, basil fried rice, zabb Thai sausages, salted fish Thai sausage fried rice, papaya salad and kra-por-pla soup, everything was amazingly delicious. My favorite was Thai basil fried rice with fried tofu, it might sound simple but not one thai restaurant had done it right. We asked for Thai spicy which was a good heat! We lived 40 mins away but it’s worth it! Zaab Thai is my prioritize Thai food!

Such incredible food! You would expect quality and flavors like this from a 5 star place in downtown Chicago. Fresh ingredients you can taste, everything made from scratch, every detail well thought out. The fried-ground catfish will live in my dreams. How it’s crunchy and juicy and so flavorful is mind-boggling! The basil duck was excellent and on the spicy side, the salted fish and crab fried rice was delicious, the real crab in the crab rangoon was awesome, and the fried taro was the potato replacement you never knew you needed! Grilled calamari tasted deliciously marinated and was cooked to perfection. The thai iced tea was a treat, and so was the ice cream! A very quiet and very clean establishment. Excellent service and a great place to bring the family. Highly recommend and we will absolutely be back to try more!
