Excellent customer service. Wonderful staff. Amazing food. I ordered online and picked up my food. I arrived early for pick up. This was my first time having ZA! Easy street parking and very pleasant staff.
I ordered a pepperoni pizza for my son. I ordered macaroni and cheese for my daughter. Lastly, I ordered a BLT sandwich for me! The food was so great that we all ended up eating each other’s food. It was so EPIC!
I was only able to take one photo of the pizza before it got devoured with everything else I ordered!!! Thank you ZA!

Unfortunately my experience with this restaurant was terrible. I ordered through DoorDash, and received the wrong pizza. When I alerted the staff, I was told I would have to re-order, which I proceeded to do. When the “correct“ pizza arrived it was burnt and covered in bubbles (as pictured in the photo). It was so disappointing, and I had such high hopes for this place. I would have hoped this restaurant would have had higher standards for the pizza quality before sending to customers.

Best pizza I have had in Maine! Did a slice, so was quick and friendly service, wait staff was always smiling. The best part of the experience was requesting a song from the gentleman on the synth and him taking a moment to learn it! Leave your guess in the comments.

Pizza was DELICIOUS, but keep in mind it’s on the pricey side compared to Flatbread Co. We went on a Sunday evening and it was pretty much dead in there, but we had a great dinner of cesar salad (very yummy, but the croutons were rock hard) and 2 pizzas that were super tasty. It was a little cold in there for a pizza place where I kind of expect to be a little warm and toasty and cozy. I wish they had more specialty options and less heavy/rich pizzas but the cost to DIY my own was upwards of $32 for a 14 inch which is way more than expected – and I wouldn’t pay $8 for a canned drink again. Our waitress was nice! I’d definitely go back for takeout

If you missed slab, dont worry! You can forget about them. Za absolutely smoked them in quality, flavor and style of pizza. Since moving to maine this has got to be the best pizza I’ve had the pleasure of eating. The sauce is the star of the show, not too sweet like everywhere else in maine, followed up by the fluffy and crisp new york crust. The cheese blend is perfection and I couldn’t be happier. I cant wait to come back. I really hope you guys hit it out of the park and utilize the space better than Slab ever did!

We were intimidated by the price of the pizzas, however it was very, very well worth the price. Our mushroom pizza was fantastic. Our server Jess was also fantastic. The slices are also large enough to be a meal for a single person (photo attached is one slice cut into thirds). The cannolis were also amazing and incredibly well priced. We will be coming back!

Had a fabulous time at this new little pizza joint the other day! They sell whole pies or certain ones by the slice. My friend & I tried a cheese slice & a mushroom slice. My friend also order a lavender lemonade that she really enjoyed! We went during happy hour (3-5pm I think) so lots of things were $5! For my part of the bill, I ordered a slice of cheese, slice of mushroom, regular lemonade (free refills ), & a white 14inch pizza to go & the total before tip was $40.
I would definitely come back here. There are other things I’d want to try as the pizza was divine & the bartender was attentive & friendly! Oh! You also have to try their ranch! So yummy!

This is a hidden gem in Portland. The pizza is great, and the eat-in experience is quaint and friendly with great customer service. I love the bar, and I will be back! I hope this place sticks around – it was a nice surprise. So many places in Portland are taking themselves way too seriously right now. Za has excellent food, friendly service, and feels comfortable inside. I saw many young families with little kids there, and it’s one of the few places in downtown Portland where a family can still go out and get a decent meal and relax. Love it!

Went for lunch and was blown away! Live that you can get slices or while pies and that there’s a pizza of the day for variety. Had the wedge salad and pepperoni pizza. Excellent flavor. The pizza had a great crust and the cup and char pepperoni was perfect. This is going to be our new go to in portland for pizza!
