Z Place has a special place in my heart, one of the first good pizzas I ever had the chance to try. That said, the review is honest.
We ate inside. The interior leaves a bit to be desired, party lights strung from the ceiling, bare walls, and lackluster seating. The arcade games I always thought were cool, but don’t match the astectic.
We ordered. It was 45 minutes from order to food on the table. The waiter apologized for the wait.
The staff could be heard laughing and making noises, seemingly mostly younger people. It didn’t bother us.
The pizza was great, just like it always is. Classically cut into squares, with delicious cheese, hearty flavorful sauce, generous toppings, and a crust you’ll find nowhere else. If you haven’t tried Z place, give it a shot, even if only for carryout. It may just become your favorite pizza.

If you order a pizza for delivery you may get it within 2 hours or so. HORRIBLE customer service. If you tell me that upfront it’s on me if I choose to wait that long. However, if you say 45 minutes that’s what I expect. Second time this has happened. Will not be back. Very disappointed!!!

I’d say this place is a solid 4.5 stars, and I’ll very likely be back again.
For one thing, the gentleman answering the phone and seemingly running the place all by himself on a Saturday was friendly, polite, and professional on the phone.
The food was ready on-time, and the thin-crust ‘The Z-pizza’ is pretty good. The Chicken Club Sub is delicious though and stole all the limelight
There is an extra 4% charge for using a credit card, which is mostly understandable since they probably paid 2.9% – 3.9% + $0.30, but just something to keep in mind, especially if you’re comparing prices to some other pizza joint which probably doesn’t do the same.
The total for a 10″ pizza and a 12″ sub was roughly $25 before tip, and I’ll probably get 3 meals out of it.
Anyway, I’ll be curious to check out their baked potatoes next time (though I might’ve been enticed earlier if the menu had pictures on it 😉

Casual dining experience with counter service and surprisingly delicious thin crust pizza. Low key atmosphere; good for children as they have a half dozen retro arcade games to keep them busy. Bring your quarters!

Sunday Oct 30. Place an order online at 5:27. Was told online it would be ready at 6:15. Get there at 6:20. Told it has “five more minutes.” Get told this multiple times and finally demand my food or refunded. The guy says, well if you want a half baked pizza, I can give it to you now”. This is at 6:57. Check the photo of the pizza. A women took my info and said the owner would contact me Monday. It’s Wednesday. Still haven’t heard from them.

We ordered 3 pizzas – two 10” and one 16”, and waited about 30-40 minutes before we got them – we were the only ones in the restaurant.
The pizza was OK. Not good enough to come back. The staff were polite, though not terribly charismatic. On a slow night they should have been pretty happy we came in and treated us like VIPs. Not asking or expecting white glove service, but in my experience how you treat the customer makes or breaks the experience. Not once did anyone come by the table and ask how things were going, and when we left almost 2 hours later not an employee could be seen or heard. This place came recommend by a longtime Huntington resident, and I get it – it’s kind of a hole in the wall place, but I was not impressed by anything in our experience save the ice in the fountain drink machine – great ice!

I have loved this place for a long time. I admit I came in early for my order. The displeasure in the faces of every worker was palpable. I feel sorry for the HS employees trying to enter the work force. It took over 20 min for someone who was not front of house to realize my order had been ready. THANK YOU for your presence. The food was dry and cold. So many arguments in the food prep area… yes we can hear you.
