We came here four our valentines dinner this year and it was absolutely perfect. Every staff member we interacted with was very kind and helpful especially our waitress who was very knowledgeable of the menu. We had oysters as our appetizer, lamb ragu and a seafood spaghetti as our mains, and an affogato and chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was absolutely amazing. The dishes were made with such care and passion. They also had a great wine selection.

There were no deficiencies whatsoever. Everything from the split grape, arugula, and goat cheese salad to the tagliatelle, sausage, and mushroom entrée were excellent. The hazelnut Gelato capped it off. So fresh and flavorful. Great service, too!

We stopped in for dinner, a party of four. I think at least a handful of people is nice here because there are a lot of delicious sounding choices, including off menu specials, that make it hard to choose. We got to order a bunch of things and share. The bucatini and halibut (latter was a special) really stole the show, but everything was really tasty. Good service as well. Would recommend in general!

Restaurants in Ashland have changed a lot over the years. Some better, some worse, and all way more expensive. Service has gone downhill (not only in Ashland) and it’s hard to get value for the dollar.
I am so happy to say that La Briccola raised the bar and I am thrilled to write this positive review!! I have always wanted to go here but I didn’t for many reasons. Maybe I was budgeting my money or just not able to deal with the small elevator (I have severe claustrophobia).
But, I met a friend for a meal over the Christmas season and EVERYTHING was delightful!!! Our seat, our food, our cocktails, our service. We felt welcomed and like the staff actually wanted us to be there. (This isn’t always the case with restaurants nowadays.)
But, there is even more!! A man named Daniel from the staff was WAITING FOR ME downstairs near the street as I walked up. I had never met him, but he knew who I was because my friend called ahead to find out about stairs (so I was the woman who would be looking for stairs). I was even 10 minutes late for my reservation and he STILL waited for me!! He escorted me to the stairs and up to the restaurant to make sure I was ok. After our meal, he escorted me and my friend back down. I felt SO taken care of!!!
THIS is what Ashland restaurants need to strive for!! This was a beautiful night out, well worth the money we spent, delicious food, a staff who enjoyed us as much as we enjoyed them…and it left us feeling so valued!

Myself and my family had the opportunity to eat at La Briccola last week. We sat outside, which was beautiful, even with the warm weather. There was plenty of shade and the view of the trees and the sound of the creek made for an excellent atmosphere. We ordered two bottles of wine, two salads, an appetizer, four entrees and three desserts. All of the food was quite well prepared, delicious and came with great service. My only complaint is that while the bread is quite excellent, there isn’t enough bread served to begin with and the fact that they charge you for extra bread, especially for a party of 6, comes off as cheap. I’m been to plenty of upscale Italian restaurants around the country and this hasn’t been the case. The atmosphere inside was also quite excellent. The server was friendly and attentive. The owner came around to all of the tables to check in and assisted us when needed. We even purchased one of their delicious pasta sauces after finishing our meal. I would recommend getting a reservation, especially during peak tourist times of the year.

As an Ashland local, this restaurant would be at the top of my list for anyone passing through.
Normally as a rule, I don’t order pastas out at restaurants. You end up just paying for the chef to throw together a sauce. However, when the restaurant specializes in making fresh pasta from scratch, this rule can and must be broken.
I have gone to Osteria several times and never ordered a meat dish, always pasta. Pictured you can see my favorite squid-ink pasta. Squid ink noodles, shrimp, and sausage mixed in a gorgeous buttery sauce. The freshness and brininess of the sea collide so beautifully with the heartiness of the sausage. I literally have dreams about it, wake up, and book my reservations. For starters, my go-to is the tricolored salad (green, white, and red elements ). Makes for an excellent meal! I felt bad for the guy sitting next to me chomping on a steak. My advice: don’t miss out on the pasta!
The ambience here is great. There is a casual bar area, or a more elevated dining room. Go for the patio if the weather permits. The service is typically either phenomenal or average. Be sure to make a reservation and enjoy!

This was a beautiful experience for uor 5 year anniversary. It is a beautiful, romantic place and our server was sweet, helpful and informative. She has worked for Osteria La Briccola for a long time and could tell you all about it. After going to Italy in November, we so missed true Italian food. We found true authentic Italian food at Ostetetia LA Briccola. My husband had a wonderful seafood pasta and I enjoyed a homemade lasagne. It was delicious! They have many fun drinks and appetizers. It will be our new favorite for Italian food. Reservations only!

Food is phenomenal and the service is top tier! I love gnocchi, so I ordered their gnocchi with gorgonzola and walnuts. It was another level! I had no idea they could be so light and fluffy. They practically melt in your mouth and the flavors are unbelievable. Do yourself a favor and go enjoy this gem!

Osteria La Briccola deserves ten stars. The food was amazing, Carly, our server was fantastic. One of the best restaurants we’ve ever eaten at. My wife had their lasagna and I had the special pasta made with locally harvested wild mushrooms.
