Yves Restaurant was inspired by Smith & Mills owners adoration of the small and highly personalized owner-operated neighborhood Café culture in Paris (Montmartre). Yves occupies a two hundred year old former Seafarers Inn, across from the main downtown Hudson River entrance. The restaurant is washed in a minimalist design aesthetic in the heart of picturesque Tribeca. The photographic artwork is inspired by the marriage of fashion, design, community and people. The menu exudes clean and modern French fare sprinkled with a Moroccan influence. Although refined, the dishes are comforting, approachable and familiar. Our culinary team’s approach is simple sophistication balanced with a side of whimsy and fun.
Casually hip hangout offers an unpretentious American menu plus craft cocktails in a snug space.

We started with the bread, and the butter compote it came with was unreal. So rich and flavorful. We shared the French onion soup, which was absolutely to die for. The steak frites came with these incredibly flavorful, thin and crispy potatoes, and the chicken schnitzel was perfectly thin and crispy with an egg on top. A must order.
Every single dish was an 11/10. On top of that, our waitress Kendall was incredibly kind and made the whole experience even more special. We will 1000% be back. An excellent experience all around and can’t recommend this place enough.
The staff is consistently welcoming and attentive, making the whole experience feel relaxed yet special. The space itself is bright, stylish, and inviting—perfect for brunch, dinner, or just drinks with friends.
Yves has quickly become one of my favorite spots in the neighborhood. A true gem in Tribeca!
The steak was cooked perfectly as well.
We very much enjoyed our fine dining experience!
The music on the sidewalk was ridiculously loud that we had to move tables to be on the far end.
Service was atrocious. There were 5 tables tops inside and out. We waited for long gaps of time (10-20+ min each) for every request, to order, for food, for mayonnaise (burger was cold by the time this came), for the bill, to pay the bill. We ended up going to the hostess stand to pay the bill to find that employees were just hanging out by the bar chatting.
As for the food, it was absolutely delicious—every bite exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, and I’ll definitely be coming back, again and again. Yves is an amazing spot with top-notch service, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal, especially if you’re out with your furry friend!
