This was my first time here, and the food was amazing! The service was also great. I ordered the create your own dish, and I liked that I could choose what I liked and didn’t like, so it was perfect for me.

First and last time here. They won’t allow you to remove ingredients for a food sensitivity – instead, they make you use the “build your own entree” menu option, which costs up to $5.50 MORE depending on your entree. You don’t know that until you call, though, because their online menu is wrong, and they seem disinclined to either update it or post a picture. They also hit you with a credit card surcharge if you don’t have cash. Unfortunately all of that wasn’t as disappointing as our dinner, which my mom described as “cafeteria food with no flavor.” The search continues.

Who has ever heard of a restaurant where you cannot take things out of a meal that you don’t like. What happens if someone has an allergy to something. Not be able to add extra things in okay sure but not be able to take something out that someone doesn’t care for it has an allergy to that is just NOT good customer service. And making someone pay extra for a custom plate that has less in it(minus the unlinked item) is not the same.

First time trying the food here and it was super disappointing! The garlic chicken had 90% vegetables. The noodles were bland. The almond chicken tasted awful. We will not be back!

Unfortunately, I haven’t had much luck finding good Chinese food in Michigan, and this place didn’t change that. The lo mein was disappointing, just thin noodles with sauce and no vegetables or extras, and the sauce didn’t taste like a typical lo mein. The sesame chicken sauce had a sour taste and a not so great smell, the chicken itself seemed to be decent quality at least. I really wanted to like it, but it just didn’t hit the mark.

EDIT: 3 months went by and I tried Yung’s again…worse! I ordered the Mandarin Chicken. There was almost no chicken in it. It was 90% onions and the veggies were terrible quality. I don’t think I’d like to go back at all.
I got a take out Sesame Chicken combo. The food was meh. The chicken was low quality and tough. The breading was soggy. The flavor was ok. The egg roll wasn’t a real egg roll with bean sprouts, it was more like cabbage and “chicken”. Overall, it was meh, but not horrible. If I go back, it probably won’t be any time soon but I’d try it again in 6 or 8 months.
