Lunch at Yumsem Eats was such a treat. The food came out fresh, hot, and full of real flavor — crispy chicken, rich sauces, and portions that actually satisfy. The staff was friendly and quick, and everything felt smooth and organized. A perfect lunch spot when you want comfort, flavor, and a little Seoul‑style energy in your day.

Good for first time experience but not a place we’ll be going back to. Second day of opening, unfortunately, the service was more off-putting and weighed negatively than good.

First off, we were lucky to find a spot for street parking. The inside vibe is an okay place to chill and relax or do some studying. Clean and quiet.

When we got to the register to place our order the lady wearing the hijab didn’t even greet us or have anything nice to say to make us feel welcomed (y’know the fact you guys just opened up and already not feeling welcomed or approachable is a big turn off… I’m not saying she has to be jolly happy-go-lucky smiling all the time but at least be more welcoming or help introduce your menu or pretend to like your job to make your customers want to come back).

Food was good we ordered 3 ramen bowls and 3 sides…half Spice level was tolerable and we were hoping it would compensate for the lack of what just happened but there was no wow factor.

Also, not very accommodating – Reference pic of Yumsem Ramen “Soup” based with tofu (but where’s the broth??) oh that’s right there was barely any and when we asked if they can add a bit more broth the lady at the register just said water? like hello that would dilute the flavor then just said no they can’t. In my opinion, she could have *tried* to be a little accommodating or tried asking the cook or manager if they can try to do something and we wouldn’t mind paying extra but the fact she barely did anything or put in the effort was just not a good impression. You can tell who hasn’t worked in food industry before or they just don’t care and doing the bare minimum.

When we went to throw away our trash and walk towards the door there were 3 employees (2 behind register and 1 on the floor) just standing around on their phones…not one of them greeted us out not even a “have a good day” or ” thank you for coming” or “hope to see you soon”…nope just the music and other customers chatting. There should be a missing poster sign because Customer Service? WHERE?? lol service aint servicing

We were excited to try this place…even shared it to family and friends on FB, hopefully, they have a better experience.

If you’re second guessing coming here because of past reviews, don’t. After reading the reviews i was a little nervous to try it out, but after visiting i’ve realized that they were probably just caught in the heat of the moment from the new opening. You can tell that they have settled and are now doing amazing.

The service was great! Walking in i was greeted and served very efficiently. There were 3 ladies and one man working, a brown boy, an asian girl, another girl who could’ve been spanish or brown maybe, and then a girl training. Even thought she was training she was surprisingly very fast working, and the other 2 girls were doing their best at helping her with whatever she needed. There were many customers and they worked very good taking orders and serving everybody as fast as they could. It took about 7-10 minutes to fully order and get my food.

I ordered a hot honey chicken sandwich combo with fries and then ordered a strawberry lemonade refresher. The refresher was amazing and the chicken very crispy but tender. I’d say their heat levels are more on the spicy side if you’re into that. But if not i’d suggest getting original.
I had a wonderful experience here. Now that they’ve been open for a while, they’ve been doing much better in my opinion.

I had a wonderful first time trying Korean food with my friend (who is more experienced in this cuisine) and it was delicious! We had the Yumsem tteokbokki, egg kimbap, kimchi ramen, and gochujang bibimbap. All of great quality and fantastic service!

Had lunch at Yumsem Eats today and everything was on point. The food came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The portions were perfect and the presentation was clean.

Service was friendly and efficient, and the place has a great vibe overall. Definitely one of my go-to lunch spots now.

Highly recommend if you’re craving Korean comfort food done right.

The spicy tuna kimbap is very good. The bulgogi one not so much. Though i’m not complaining because i got both for free! My favorite was the ttaebokki, which is nice and spicy. The black bean stir fry was a bit sweet which i liked and i got it with a side on of braised beef (very necessary!) to be honest i didn’t think the black bean stir fry would be made with ramen. i thought they would use thicker noodles.. so i was a little let down by that. Overall I know i’ll be coming again.

I loved coming to this restaurant with my brother. The food was amazing and fresh and the staff was super nice and helpful. I really enjoyed the food, and the concept of the restaurant a kind of sit down but also like a fast food restaurant. The food was amazing and worth the price, totally recommend!

Finally, a spot that gets Korean Fried Chicken right while being 100% Halal! I tried the Garlic Spicy and Soy Garlic wings, and the crunch is unbelievable—even after the drive home. You can tell the chicken is fresh and hand-cut, not that frozen stuff you get elsewhere. The Yumsem Combo Sandwich is a massive sleeper hit, too; the brioche bun and coleslaw make it top-tier. Super clean interior and friendly service.

Love ordering from here. I haven’t yet had the experience to dine in, but I’ve been so eager to try this spot since it opened. All I can say is, the food is incredibly sating. It’s flavorful, well portioned, and there’s great variety on the menu. Definitely recommend, and definitely going to bring my friends here soon!

Came on the grand opening day and ordered the chicken. The soy garlic flavor was good, but the chicken was undercooked, with slightly pink and slimy meat. Also felt a bit uncomfortable when a staff member stank stared at us while we were eating. Overall, the experience was just ok.
