My favorite is the egg foo young which is tick veggie omelette with the choice of meat. It’s perfect combination with roasted pork fried rice.
With lunch / dinner combo, the meal comes with veggies egg rolls.
My other favorite is beef mushroom. The portion is big and the meat is so juicy and tender.
The owner is really nice and friendly. Very helpful and the service is always fast. If you don’t have much time, I recommend to call them in advance so the order is ready by the time you arrive at the restaurant.
Totally recommend this place!
The shrimp roll is always crispy and packed with flavor. The beef with mushrooms is tender and perfectly seasoned (very loaded with mushrooms), and the Mongolian beef has that amazing balance of sweet, savory, and spicy. The garlic sauce chicken is another favorite for my husband, full of bold flavor and cooked just right with lots of sauce on the side.
On top of the great food, the service is fast, the prices are fair, and the overall quality is always on point.
I was in the area so I stopped in to try a few simple takeout Chinese staples: fried chicken wings, chicken noodle soup, and Singapore Mei fun.
I was only going to eat the soup and wings there, and take the SMF home.
The guy seemed very unfriendly, and when he handed me my food in a left over box (like you get in Sam’s or Costco to carry your groceries in), everything was slopped all over with soup broth. The box wouldnt bother me so much except it was actually dirty.
I went to a table and carefully took out the soup and wings, and the guy actually looked MAD that I was eating there. I wiped down the soup container and saw that yeah, there was a lot of broth all over in the box- I was NOT going to take that in my car.
The soup- was NOT good. The noodles were undercooked, and the broth didnt taste right at all/was VERY dark yellow.
A lady on the way out asked me if I was eating wonton soup, I said “no, chicken noodle” She said “oh how is it?” I quietly shook my head.
The wings- fried too long, and tasted like the oil hasn’t been changed in a very long time.
I havent tried the SMF yet, but it didnt look great and with the other 2 dishes, Im not very hopeful.
Finally, the small dining area is FILLED with those left over boxes I mentioned above, and the whole place felt dirty… dirtier than normal hole-in-the-wall chinese restaurants.
I will absolutely not be back.
Yums Chinese Restaurant made our Christmas Day special. The food was delicious, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere cozy. It’s a great place for a memorable meal.
