The Panang Curry and Coconut soup are the best I’ve ever had. I moved out of the state and have tried other places but none can compare to Yummy Thai! The people are wonderful and really get to know their regular customers. I can’t wait to go back on my next visit home.

The food delicious with fresh ingredients and good portions. Basil roll and the vegetable soup are two of my favs so far, but they have a lot of different types of food. Don’t let the small atmosphere fool you, the food is worth any wait.

I’ve visited Yummy Thai a couple of times and the second time tried the Hot Pot soup. It is basically Tom Yum soup with seafood. You can specify your heat level. It is outstanding. Large enough for a meal or share to start. I highly recommend.

I absolutely love Yummy Thai. The service and food are fantastic. I eat the vegetable pho on a regular basis and now they serve sushi. I have had 5 different rolls so far and every one have been delish.

A few of us were hungry and were looking for a place to eat in Shelbyville. A Google search brought us to Yummy Thai in Shelbyville. It was late and they were not busy and we were warmly welcomed. From beginning to end the service was exceptional. From the owner to our waitress we were well taken care of.
Appetizer: The Steam Dumplings were delicious and flavorful…you did not need any sauce to enjoy these!
Soups: While the chicken and rice soups were good, one of us had the Tom Kha (Coconut) soup. This is one of the BEST soups I have ever enjoyed. What an incredible mix of flavors from the coconut milk to the various spices. This soup is not to be missed!
I had the Steak Pad Thai at mild heat – great dish and a lot of food! Loved how the sauce/flavors of the noodles did not overpower the flavor of the steak.
My guests enjoyed the Green Curry and the Red Curry dishes at medium heat. I got to sample both and while both meals were enjoyed immensely (as evidenced by the clean plates) I personally loved the flavors of the Red Curry dish. Again…a mix of coconut milk with red curry paste and a wonderful hint of fresh basil really complimented this dish.

The staff was attentive and friendly throughout the meal. The food was excellent, definitely surprised to find authentic flavors like this in Shelbyville. Flavors were bright, vibrant, and very well balanced.

The flavors are more developed than your typical Asian restaurant. Both the green curry chicken and drunken noodles are terrific. It is a must try the next time you want Asian food.

Best fried rice in town. I’m new to Shelbyville and quickly realized food choices are limited but was super excited after trying yummy thai, the tofu fried rice is even better than Murfreesboro thai places. Tofu is soft and fresh.
