I stopped by this spot on Olive Blvd and was really impressed. There was no wait at all and the food came out fast, but still tasted super fresh. I tried the beef rice noodle, the spicy cold chicken, and the tomato beef brisket broth. All three dishes looked great and had clean, fresh flavors.

The beef rice noodle had a nice texture and the toppings were really balanced. The spicy cold chicken was tender with a good kick and lots of flavor. The tomato beef brisket soup was comforting and had a really rich, homemade taste.

Service was friendly and everything felt very smooth from start to finish. Definitely a great place to stop by if you’re in the area and want something fresh, quick, and tasty.

Our server was awesome. My mom and I had never been there or had Chinese noodles before. Our server was very helpful and gave us a run down of the menu and the historic background of where it originated from and how it’s made. My mom got the spicy chicken noodle soup and I recommend lowering the spice level. I had the original pork noodle soup. Once the hot pots stopped boiling, it was so delicious. I loved the broth and trying all of the ingredients. I also had the Mr. Matcha with coconut milk and it was the perfect amount of sweetness and creaminess while having that bold matcha flavor. The price was very reasonable for the large portion that you get. I can’t wait to go back and bring my friends and family!

We came for lunch today. Service was good but a tad slow. They are still in the soft opening period so it’s understandable. I had the A3. Thai Style Tom Yum Gong seafood rice noodle and my husband had the B4. Red Sour Flavored Rice Noodle Soup with the choice of sliced fish and lamb slices add on. Both of our broths were served in a hot stove bowl, super hot and flavorful. Mmm Yummy! Noodles were served separately. I really liked that I can decide how much noodles I want to add into my tomyum broth. At the end of our meal, Chef came to our table to check in and make sure we were happy with our meal. He also asked for feedback. Excellent service! We felt welcomed and left full and happy.

I have been looking forward to eating at this restaurant and am glad it opened this week!

The dining room is modern and we had fun browsing the menu. We ordered the Crossing the Bridge rice noodles for lunch. It is served with fresh made broth. You quickly place all the ingredients and noodles into the bowl to create a noodle soup.

The origin story of this noodle involves a scholar prepping for an examination on a small island in the middle of the lake. He was so focused on studying he would forget to eat. His partner created this dish and delivered it across the bridge to the island. Through this act of love, the scholar was well nourished and eventually crushed the exam.

The Golden Hot & Sour and Szechuan Mala Spicy flavors were warming and had a kick. The pig ear appetizer flavor profile was a great mix of chili oil, garlic, and cilantro. I also felt well nourished after my lunch.

This new spot just opened over the weekend and it’s already my favorite restaurant in St. Louis. They serve fantastic Yunnan cuisine that is fresh, bold, and deeply satisfying. The chilled cucumbers were a perfect start: crisp, refreshing, and packed with a garlicky spice that builds just the right amount of heat. I ordered the mala soup with fish, and it struck a perfect balance: numbing, spicy, and savory without being overwhelming. It reminded me of the sour and spicy fish soup you’d find in Shanghai, with flavors that instantly took me back to China. I’m already looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu

This place is sooooo good! Already been here twice and the service was good despite it opening recently. The menu was kind of confusing at first but you can ask them to explain the soup base for you. The cucumber salad is delicious as well.

In the pic

1) Mala Spicy “Crossing the Bridge” Rice Noodles — 4/5
The mala broth opens with a bold, aromatic heat and a satisfying numbing effect from the Sichuan peppercorns. Midway through the bowl, however, the spice profile shifts toward acidity, which slightly overpowers the balance. The beef is notably tender and well-prepared, and the bowl is generously finished with an array of classic accompaniments. One caveat: the rice noodles themselves remain largely neutral and do not absorb much of the broth’s complexity.
2) Rice Noodle Soup with Coconut Red Curry Chicken — 4.5/5
This dish stands out for its depth of flavor. The broth is rich and layered, driven by a pronounced coconut base with a measured, lingering heat from the red curry. The chicken is well-integrated into the dish, and the toppings are abundant and thoughtfully composed. Similar to the mala noodles, the rice noodles act more as a textural component than a flavor carrier.
3) Braided Egg — 3.5/5
A solid execution with a clean soy-forward seasoning. Pleasant and comforting, though it leans more toward familiarity than distinction.
4) Salty Crispy Chicken — 5/5
An absolute standout. Perfectly seasoned, exceptionally crisp, and fried with precision. The texture and flavor are spot-on—reminiscent of high-quality popcorn chicken but executed at a higher level.
Overall Impression
The food delivers consistently strong flavors, generous portions, and thoughtful preparation. Service was exceptional—attentive, efficient, and impressively fast. Dishes arrived in record time without compromising quality, making the overall dining experience both satisfying and memorable.

The food is great with large portions and a nice variety of veggies and meat options. Everything tastes fresh and flavorful — definitely worth coming back!

The only thing that could be improved is shortening the waiting time from order to serve, but overall, it is great!

My family was in the mood for some proper Chinese food. However, I wanted something new. We were driving down Olive in search (because thats where you look for Chinese food) and saw this place. The interior has a very cozy and clean feel. The staff were quick to welcome us in and friendly in general. A forwarding, if Chinese takeout is your only Xhinese food experience, you’re in for a learning curve. This is a chopsticks sort of place and most of their offerings are like hot pot. You will get a bowl of broth and a dish if stuff ti toss in to your preference. They were very helpful in showing what you should do, if they sound impatient it’s because you gotta get the raw meat into the boiling water ASAP before it cools down. The broth by the way was incredible. My whole family were happy with our choices. I highly recommend this place if youre wanting something more authentic because they dont just throw you into the deep end.

On Christmas Eve we ended up here on accident after the “more popular” restaurants had two hour waits: WHAT A GEM!!! My husband and already want to go back. Service 10/10, Cleanliness 10/10, Food 10/10. We will be back ASAP!! The soup bowls are massive and we both finished every bite.
