Everything we ordered was mouth watering deliciousness. We did have to wait a very long time. We weren’t sure if it was due to the number of take out orders or because our group was so large. Other than the food coming out slowly, one dish at a time. The atmosphere was nice. The restaurant was clean. And we didn’t have that many leftovers even though the food portions were decent.

Quality : Too much Broccoli. 40% Broccoli . There’s more broccoli under the beef. Also beef has funky old meat smell. Very tough and very little. Miso soup portion was large, but imagine adding half cup of hot water into regular portion. It was very blend and just wasn’t edible.
Other than big portion, I wouldn’t eat this ever again.

Quality : taste wasn’t that bad, but small pieces of maki roll just isn’t worth the money.

Placed a to go order to be picked up at 6.pm got a confirmation that the food was ready , they took my money and said it won’t be ready for 20 minutes. Had to wait in the parking lot, really pathetic please I’m just sitting here wondering how the foods going to taste? Wish me luck , this will most likely be the last time I order from this place.

My wife and I were driving by and decided to pop in for a quick bite to eat. I have to say what a delight it was. Susie the owner and her whole staff are super friendly and the food was delicious. I’m going to definitely come back and recommend this restaurant to friends. Susie Sushi keep doing your thing!

We’ve been ordering carry-out ~monthly from this place since it opened. The food is usually good, but at a higher price point than other nearby places. The service really struggles; they are rarely timely and accurate. I always have to add at least 15 min to their stated pick up estimate, and even then I usually have to wait (one time 45 min inside!). Also, my standard procedure is rigorously double checking the order because they frequently forget items (like soups, or chicken in an order of chicken lo mein…). After years I finally got fed up and called to complain, and the manager blamed a new employee! I think it comes down to poor management, training, and processes. Despite the food quality and proximity, I think I’m done.

Great place for the whole family. Parents enjoyed the dauntingly large menu. There is primarily Chinese and Japanese cuisine. Everything I tried tasted incredible. I got a rainbow roll and spider roll and both were delicious. With such a large array of food, I highly recommend for large groups as everyone is sure to find something they will enjoy.

Food was good, but nothing special. They have a good lunch special: 3 rolls, and a miso soup for $11. Plus they have a coupon for a free California roll if you spend more than $10. The price and deal was good, but the sushi itself seemed to be lacking in taste and was kind of dry. The atmosphere was nice inside and seemed very clean.
The staff is friendly and accommodating. It’s not downtown Chicago sushi, but for the price during lunch at least, I’d say it’s at least worth a try.

Thought wow strip mall sushi, I don’t think so. A week after they opened I gave them a try and was not disappointed. Have not had a bad meal since then. We order from them about twice a month, mostly carry out. we’ve dined in a few times and enjoyed the fresh tropical drinks, all good. Great to have a place like this close to home.

We love the food. The sushi is amazing. The issue I have is that the order is regularly delivered incomplete. I put in the order online and then when I get it something is missing. This is the 6th time this has happened. When I call they are usually very apologetic and fix the error (with the exception of a couple times). It’s a big bummer because we really like the food but it’s getting to the point where it’s not worth the hassel.

Have to start by saying I have supported this local business since day one. Never had any issues until tonight. Went in to an mostly empty restaurant with my family of 6 and was told to sit wherever we wanted. So we proceeded to sit at a booth with two separate tables. Then the waitress comes over and says we could not sit there and they wanted us to move to a smaller table in the middle of the restaurant. When I asked why we couldn’t sit where we chose we were told because there would be more room for plates at the smaller table somehow. I asked if we could stay where we were seated in the empty restaurant away from two teenagers who were annoyingly loud and she said no while only repeating that there was more room for plates at the smaller table.
We then sat at the table for 5 min while she went in the kitchen obviously talking about us. So we decided to take our business to Kumi Sushi where they gladly welcomed my family and $200 worth of food.
Really disappointed in you Yummy Asian for treating a loyal customer this way. Way to lose a customer for no reason.
