I absolutely love this bakery. Great customer service. A wide variety of cakes, cookies, pies, brownies, biscuits, and breads. The cake slices a very generous for the price ($7). I can eat off of it for 2-3 days. Cookies are a good size as well, larger than a typical drink coaster. All of their items freeze very well. Apple pay, credit and cash are accepted.
They are located in the quaint small downtown area of Smithfield, VA. There are several shops along the street. Parking is mostly parallel but there are a couple of parking lots in walking distance. The best time to go is on Saturday mornings when the nearby farmer’s market is in season.

My husband and I had Yummaries bake our wedding cake and to say that it was beyond our wildest dreams, is an understatement. We were so amazed at delicious and beautiful our cake turned out! We wanted something different, and we have always loved their angel food cake, so when they said they would give a tiered version a shot, we were ecstatic! We got so many compliments on it from the look to the taste! It was the perfect addition to our perfect day! 😀

Burrito and Dumpling both say, the smell when you walk in is delish. Dumpling says it’s a little pricy. We got the most gorgeous loaf of herbed focaccia bread that I have seen outside the doors of my favorite Italian market in years. However, now that we’ve eaten it, it was a little thicker and doughier than Burrito had first imagined. While it would be great for soaking up your fav sauce at a big Italian meal, it’s not what I’d call a traditional focaccia. You also have to go on their website to find the instructions for heating. We also grabbed a pig shaped frosted sugar cookie, bikini wearing summer ready gingerbread cookie, and cheesecake cupcakes. Burrito thinks the pig shaped sugar cookie was okay and Dumpling thought it was good. Burrito would say it was low on a hint of vanilla or almond and on that buttery creaminess she is looking for in an iced sugar friend. The gingerbread woman was heavy on flour and lower on molasses flavor, so not the right mix blend for your Burrito. Chicken Nuggie agreed, but said it was much better when pared with a glass of milk. The cheesecake was good, but not the town’s best IMO. The icing on the top is a little overly sugary, which led to a bit of over sugared feeling overall. After scraping the icing off and truly tasting the cheesecake, it had a hint of lemon that we wouldn’t expect to find in a true New York style cheesecake. Service could have been friendly and warmer. We wouldn’t go out of our way.

This placed smelled like baked butter and gingerbread… straight up heavenly. There are lots of options available. I got some sugar cookies, small apple cider bunt cakes, and some seriously delicious cheesy ham biscuits. The have cakes, slices of cake, pies, and slices of pie. So many tasty options available, you got to try it.

We here with some friends after visiting Smithfield all day. This place hands down has the best pumpkin pie I’ve ever tasted. My wife had the apple pie, and it was fantastic as well. My only regret is that I didn’t buy more!

Decided to check this place out on my vacation and let me say it did not disappoint! I’ve never been to a bakery before so there were so many options, and I had no clue what to get. One of the employees named Lindsey helped me out with all my questions and even recommended me a cake slice and it was absolutely amazing and I also got a sugar cookie to try because I can’t pass those up! I wish we had one of these down by where I live because I would be eating here way more often!

LAVENDER COOKIES AND KEY LIME PIES!!! we try tp make a trip from chesapeake every other weekend just for the lavender cookies..the smell when you walk in instantly puts a smile on your face and the staff are always pleasant and friendly.

This is a lovely home town bakery with pleasant staff and a nice assortment of cookies, cakes, and other delicious items. The only thing I’ve bought from them that was not good at all was their chocolate fudge. It was bland, not very sweet and had lumps in it. Still not sure what the lumps were. My family will eat anything – burnt cookies included – but after one serving of the fudge no one has given it another try. Aside from that cautionary tale, I would recommend them.

This place is the best! We do not live in the area so anytime we are in town this stop is top of our list! Local, yummy and friendly! The pecan wedding cookies are the family favorite! The pig sugar cookies are a town classic! Highly recommend!
