This restaurant is definitely catered toward students and budget-friendly consumers. So it serves its purpose well.
However, If I was to rate this restaurant from gastronomy and experience, I would give it a 2,8/5
The fried noodle felt like it was a mix of left-over legumes with hardened noodles. It definitely have room for improvement right there.
When we visited there were bicycles and signs occupying the sits. Which makes no so professional looking.
It’s definitely a cool concept. It’s more of a lunch place I guess where you grab something quick on the go and somewhat affordable.

I came here for a quick business lunch, and it’s a solid spot for Vietnamese street food. Kind of hipstery, and quite packed for lunch – so probably a popular spot for college students (it’s right next to the university). Nothing mind blowing, but good and for a reasonable price for Hamburg.

The atmosphere was okay, and the service was “nice”, but I have rarely eaten such boring, bland Vietnamese dishes. Hardly any herbs or greens or fruit, basically no sadly dressing or spices. If you like traditional street food then go to Xeom or VU.

Located directly on a main road and behind the bustling hamburg university, yumi was a pleasant surprise for my girlfriend and me. The flavors are crisp and clear and the food is very tasty. Would happily eat here again if in the area. Loved their use of cilantro, mint and Mirin on their bowls.
