I attended the Tuna Show at YUJO in November, and it ended up being one of the most unique and memorable dining experiences I’ve had in Dallas in a long time.

Jordan, the chef, was mic’d up the entire time and walked us through every step—how the fish is broken down, the differences between each cut, and even some surprisingly cool insights about the knives and tools he uses. You don’t often get that level of access or transparency in a restaurant setting, and it elevated the entire experience.

The tasting itself was superb. Every cut was intentional, perfectly prepared, and beautifully explained. You could tell they genuinely care about the craft and want people to walk away with a deeper appreciation for what they’re eating.

Even though the event was fun and a little informal (which I actually liked) you could tell some people were mainly there for the food and the drinking. And hey, the sake options were excellent, so I get it but most of us were dialed in and really engaged with the show, the education, and the artistry behind it. The Sake kept pouring though, so plan for a long fun night with plenty of food (they went above and beyond to accommodate our love for tuna ).

I’m already looking forward to the salmon event and whatever other special experiences they put together next. If you’re into food, craftsmanship, or learning something new while enjoying a great night out, YUJO is absolutely worth it.

Side note: we were worried that not sitting at the bar would hinder the experience- it didn’t. Don’t sweat it, the place is intimate enough that you can see from anywhere.

This place is a hidden gem – I came here with my boyfriend in April for the first time and we had one of the best omakase experiences ever! Great food & service. I’ve been thinking about this spot still – definitely need to come back.

Absolutely incredible omakase experience! Yujo is a hidden gem in Dallas offering beautifully crafted sushi with high-quality ingredients and thoughtful presentation. Every course in the omakase was unique and well-balanced — you can really tell the chefs put a lot of care into their work.

The atmosphere is intimate and elegant without being stuffy, and the staff was warm, knowledgeable, and made the whole evening feel special. If you’re looking for an upscale sushi night that doesn’t feel overly pretentious, this is it.

Highly recommend for date nights, celebrations, or anyone who appreciates great sushi. I’ll definitely be back!

What a gem this place is! Better than all the overpriced/overhyped “omakase” places in dallas… they had real wasabi that they let me try too! On top of that, they are a no tipping default facility!

A very beautiful delicious omakase experience. We did the 16 course and enjoyed every bite. For sure pricey but nice for a special occasion dinner. Staff was friendly and attentive. A+ on the service.

If you’re searching for an unforgettable dining experience in Dallas, Yujo is an absolute must-visit! This gem of a sushi restaurant perfectly blends traditional Japanese cuisine with a modern twist, creating a culinary experience that is nothing short of spectacular.

From the moment you step inside, the ambiance sets the stage for a delightful evening. The decor is elegant yet inviting, with a serene atmosphere that makes you feel like you’ve been transported straight to Japan. The warm and attentive staff provide impeccable service, offering recommendations and ensuring your dining experience is flawless.

Now, let’s talk about the star of the show: the sushi! Each piece is crafted with precision and artistry, showcasing the freshest fish and highest quality ingredients. My cousin tried the 16-course omakase experience, which was particularly breathtaking, with a beautifully curated selection of seasonal fish and unique flavor combinations that tantalize the taste buds. The chef’s attention to detail is evident in every bite, with innovative rolls and traditional nigiri that are both visually stunning and delicious.

Be sure to try their special rolls, each one more delightful than the last, and their signature dishes that truly showcase the chef’s creativity.

Whether you’re a sushi connoisseur or new to the cuisine, Yujo offers something for everyone. The vibrant flavor profiles and exceptionally crafted dishes make it a standout choice for a romantic dinner, a special celebration, or simply a night out with friends.

Yujo is not just a restaurant; it’s an experience that will leave you craving more. If you’re in Dallas, do yourself a favor and indulge in the best sushi this city has to offer. You won’t be disappointed!

My wife and I have never done Omakase, so I figured her Birthday would be an awesome chance as she loves sushi & sashimi!

The vibe of the place was cool and cute (small and intimate space) and the servers/waiters were very nice!

Our sushi chef was explaining every bite and open to questions, we loved every bite we had!

The drinks were awesome too, my wife loved the Summer Day one.

We would definitely come back, the price makes it more approachable than others and the quality and value were top notch!

Wow wow wow. I didn’t know I needed Yujo in my life. We ordered omakase – uni craze. Each piece is topped with fat uni.

Uni, caviar, gold flakes, high quality fish and wagyu were presented in the most beautiful way. The wagyu pieces were super tender and buttery that melted in my mouth. Some of the pieces were torched to get the smoked flavor.

This is one of the best omakases I’ve been to! I’m definitely coming back!! Highly recommend!

It was my partner’s and I’s first time at an omakase restaurant. We had the Uni Omakase and this was truly high grade Uni sourced from Santa Barbara. I had Uni before in San Francisco and SB, so it reminds me of the sushi restaurants out in the west coast.

Every dish was absolutely a wonderful delicate taste to experience with high quality ingredients. This is truly worth the night out, and I will be returning here to experience more omakase concepts. Thank you so much for a satisfying night!

For the dessert option, the only critique I have is to not add oreo to the matcha ice cream. I feel it dilutes the japanese experience with the matcha flavor. But i am unsure what will be a good substitute…

This is not an issue though since it was still delicious!

The service was very well attended to all our needs, so I really enjoyed the evening with all the staff present!
