Had a fantastic lunch here!
Food was so tasty, very kind service and overall a really great experience.
I recommend taking the combo because you get to choose 7 different kinds of entrees.
If you’re looking for a hearty vegan meal in Greenpoint – this is the place, and you are in for a treat ✨

What a truly remarkable experience. The food is lovely, so clean, healthy, yummy. Bersi herself is such a kind person who not only cooks the food but helps out in the front of the restaurant as well. It’s rare to see such a genuine restaurant in an industry dominated by restaurant groups with no soul. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great flavorful food in Greenpoint.

All gold!! Potent wonderful vibrant love and energy in the food and service. Hard work and dedication to the craft, culture and community. Bersi is a beautiful gem. Happy it’s 100% plant rooted and I recommend ordering 100% gf teff injera. Also THE BEST BAKLAVA EVER!!!

Love to everyone. Missing Brooklyn, looking forward to having it again. -RA (Chicago)

Party of four skeptics BLOWN AWAY.
We dropped-in on a recommendation and without knowing the menu was vegetarian. For the love of god, don’t let that stop you. We ordered the platter and once it came out it was game over. The food was hearty, satisfying, versatile, fresh, and deeply flavorful. Never in my life have I shoveled beets and carrots into my face with such urgency. We’re already planning our next visit and itching to dive deeper into Ethiopian food. Pretty unassuming, but hands down one of the best meals I’ve had in NYC in a long time. Can’t rave enough!

I love Ethiopian food. Bersi takes it a step further and is a vegan restaurant. Everything on the menu is vegan-friendly, which makes it easy for vegans/vegetarians alike to come here and order anything they’d like.

I ordered the Bersi combo, so I was able to try many different entrees. Some were spicy, some were not, but all were flavorful! The injera may be the star of the show… the owners’ family business started out as an injera business. The quality is excellent. I recommend dining in person, as the interior is welcoming and the food is served quickly and fresh!

Fantastic vegetarian Ethiopian food. Wonderful staff with exceptional service. My wife and I are kinda set in our ways and always get the Kategna which is nice and spicy (pairs great with the honey wine!) and share the Zenach with a side of Beets.

Wonderful service and everything we ate was delicious. The mushroom Tibs were a standout (Engudaye Tibs). Excellent value and also a lovely ambiance. Also highly recommend the Shimbra Asa.

The food is great as is the service. Simple all vegan family run spot. Wish i lived closer I would def order in!

So flavorful without being heavy or greasy. they make their own injera using all teff! Enjoyed the platter (def large enough for 2-3) and the tofu scramble served at brunch was 10/10!

And they have an Ethiopian coffee ceremony for free on Saturday at 6pm.

As Greenpoint residents, we’ve been coming for a few years now – and it’s consistently wonderful.

Note: we are usually carnivore leaning, but this place is incredibly satisfying despite being veg-forward. Tons of flavor, truly.
