Yuca’s is the tiny little food stand that over delivers! I have been in Los Feliz for four years and have passed by Yuca’s many times. I deeply regret sleeping on this place, but now that I know what they make and how well they make it, I plan on being a regular.

Los Feliz has a lot of trendy places so it is nice to have a spot where they serve fantastic street food without any fuss. The entire stand is maybe the size of a large walk in closet and is one of the smallest kitchens I have ever seen. I was impressed to see three people working inside when I stopped by. Where they store all their food is a mystery.

Since I hadn’t been before, I went with the carne asada burrito because each person in front of me when I lined up ordered the burrito so I figured there must be some kind of magic in it. The carne asada was an excellent choice. The meat was tender and well seasoned. Their burrito was the perfect size for a lunch meal. I was not prepared for how hot the hot sauce they had on the counter was but after I got my taste buds under control, the heat was a perfect addition to the burrito.

When I ordered, I noticed a food article proudly displayed by the order window. The article mentioned how Yuca’s also had some great, very affordable cheeseburgers. Intrigued, I went back the next day and the article was spot on. The hamburger was cooked to a nice, juicy crisp and everything loaded on the burger was fresh and tasty. The price for the burger was hard to pass up! The article was about a James Beard award recognition. Impressive and worthy of the accolades.

They have a nice, small patio to go with their tiny food stall hut. I enjoyed eating my two different meals watching the Los Feliz denizens stroll by. Lovely place. They seem to have a parking lot connected to the hut and a few other businesses.

Unfortunately this it’s one of the top two worst burritos I have ever had. Overly salty no flavor to the meat other than cooked meat And beans tiny bit of onions. No sauce, no cilantro. Flavor was awful fifteen dollars and such a small burrito. But it would come.
To figure since the burrito is really bad.You wouldn’t want time I come here. Don’t get me wrong. I’m all for small businesses, thriving being popular. But being charged a certain amount of money for something that you can get someplace else. That tastes better for the same price, not having that.

It’s an okay taco place.
The portions are small and price is high.

The service was also not great.
This place is good for a quick bite but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here.

I heard that this place used to have good meat and then it went downhill in recent years. I decided to give it a chance the other day and those rumors were true. The food was extremely mediocre. I ordered 3 different tacos and they were all dry and bland. I had to douse them in hot sauce to somewhat enjoy them. I highly recommend you go to any LA taco stand on the sidewalk over this place. You’ll get much better quality tacos for less than half the price.

James Beard recognized taco hut that’s known for the cochinita pibil. Came here for lunch after running at Griffith, and three tacos hit the spot. You order and pay first, and then they’ll call your name. Bring cash. There’s a customer only parking lot in the back of the restaurant. Limited outdoor seating is available. The food came out in less than 10 minutes after we ordered. No alcohol here but there’s a liquor store across the way if needed. They have limited outdoor tables. The carnitas are also super tasty if you want something with less of a sweet flavor. My dad got the burrito with the cochinita pibil and that came with beans inside. They speak both English and Spanish.

Really enjoyed the double cheeseburger. May remind you of a burger your uncle made in your backyard once, but it is the best possible version of that. Crispy/chewy charred bits and mysteriously seasoned (maybe from the flat top shared with other foods?) really put it over the top.

Also tried a carne asada burrito was not bad.

Service is very friendly.

I had a burrito here before and it was better,
The one I had today was watery and salty, beans were bad.
$15 dollar burrito which I was ok with , but then no hot sauce? Come on now.
If you want an actual burrito I’d say go to a food truck

This is a shack, which is fine. What isn’t fine are: 1) Several items shown online for THIS restaurant in Los Feliz, such as nachos, fries and fried plantains. We specifically chose Yuca’s in Los Feliz because the online menu shows they have fried plantains. They don’t. So I went so the double cheeseburger with chili, which was supposed to be $9.50 plus tax. The total came to $10.98. I was charged extra for cheese even though the priceon the menu included cheese. The burger was frozen and the chili was canned. DON’T BOTHER. For what you get, it’s a rip off. Never again.

I catered Yuca’s for a corporate event last week and it was an absolute hit! All the attendees had great things to say and were very excited to see they were catering. Not only was the food delicious but the service was wonderful! The team was so kind and helpful! They were early and they set up and tore down which was a great help! They were also great to work with to schedule and request the catering. I would 100% recommend buying local and catering through Yuca’s!

Tiny, overpriced turdburgers – you’re better off going to McDonald’s. The double cheeseburger that I ordered here was a greasy, tasteless mess. The carne asada burrito is small & overpriced – the flavor, meh. I haven’t bothered with the tacos – I didn’t want to be disappointed again. I have no idea why there are so many positive reviews for this place – it’s just not that good.

Seriously, if you want a good burger, take (less of) your money and go to In-N-Out.
