This restaurant is tucked in a massive, mostly empty building near an Asian grocery store. It gives the vibes of Beijing post 2008 Paralympics when all of a sudden no one made things look good for westerners. It’s cash only.
Despite appearances, this is the most authentic Chinese food I’ve had since I was in China in college! My husband and I went back multiple times while we were in town. It was great each time. They have an extensive menu so given that it’s not a bustling place, I’m not sure if the more eclectic dishes are super fresh. But again, you’re getting authentic cuisine and that’s sometimes part of it!
The jiao zi are amazing! The portion sizes are great for the price. You can’t get them in this amount or for the cost anywhere else in the Hinsdale or Oakbrook Terrace areas. Definitely recommend!

Food is very good here. The owner told me he’s operated the dumpling house for over 30 years. He must be doing something right. The noodles are hand made and broth flavorful. The spicy wontons are some of the best wontons I’ve ever had. Great little place. Cash only. Bring them papers.

Bought some duck jaw and chicken feet today. The top row is fine, but the bottom is molding! Disgusting! The chicken feet doesn’t show any mold, but definitely smells odd!
I would avoid buying anything from them, if you do want something, make sure keep the receipt!

It’s a good place for Ramen but I would have liked more options. I also thought the price was a bit high for noodles with very few pieces of meat. The portion was in a big bowl.
I added a piece of fried shrimp @ a $1.50, which was good. I know tofu is big, but I’m not a fan of it.
People working were young but they were very nice and helpful.
There was ample parking since it was in a very small strip mall. If the other stores get busy, you might have a problem.
I don’t think I would go back since there wasn’t to much that I like. I went with my daughter (21) and grandson (19). She thought it was good but he didn’t like it. He prefers Ramen from the package.
Sorry I didn’t take any pictures.
Dumplings are very good.

The food is better than mediocre but nothing fantastic. The place is very clean and is nicely presented. The staff is also very nice, but I had some very bad service while I was there. I’m hoping it was an isolate incident, but we were not give menus until 10 minutes after being seated. Water was given an additional 10 minutes after that. The food came about 35 minutes later and our appetizers were given after our meal was over. I understand that some dishes take very long, but the dishes we ordered were stand noodle soups and plate (both of which tasted almost exactly the same).

Food is good here – finally am able to eat Taiwanese style beef noodle soup! Everything is quite good for what looks like a food court. A word of warning: they only accept cash, so make sure you have enough with you. There is a bank inside, but it wasn’t open at the time we went.
